CMAT 2026 Results Announced: Over 41,800 Candidates Appear for MBA and PGDM Entrance Test

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access and download their scorecards online through the official examination portal. This year, a total of 41,872 aspirants successfully sat for the test, which serves as a gateway for admission into prestigious MBA and PGDM programs across the country.

How to Access Your CMAT 2026 Scorecard

Successful candidates can retrieve their results by visiting the official CMAT website and entering their login credentials, including their application number and date of birth or password. Once logged in, the scorecard will be available for viewing and download. It is advisable for candidates to save multiple copies of their scorecard for future reference during the admission and counselling processes.

Examination Overview and Participation Statistics

The CMAT 2026 examination was conducted on 25 January 2026 in a single shift using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. The test was administered across 259 examination centres spread over 110 cities nationwide. While a total of 53,453 candidates registered for the examination, attendance was recorded at 41,872, reflecting a substantial participation rate.

Registration Breakdown by Category and Gender

The registration data reveals a diverse pool of applicants across various categories. Here is a detailed look at the registration figures:

  • Female candidates: 25,513 registrations, comprising 14,251 from the General category, 2,933 from EWS, 6,515 from OBC (NCL), 1,400 from SC, 414 from ST, and 40 from the PwD/PwBD category.
  • Male candidates: 27,938 registrations, with 12,717 from General, 3,834 from EWS, 8,881 from OBC (NCL), 1,980 from SC, 526 from ST, and 106 from the PwD/PwBD category.
  • Third-gender candidates: 2 registrations, both from the General category.

The cumulative registration tally stands at 53,453, with the General category accounting for 26,970 applicants, followed by OBC (NCL) at 15,396, EWS at 6,767, SC at 3,380, ST at 940, and PwD/PwBD at 146.

Attendance Figures by Category and Gender

The attendance statistics offer insight into the actual examination turnout:

  • Female candidates: 19,905 appeared, including 10,790 from General, 2,394 from EWS, 5,331 from OBC (NCL), 1,061 from SC, 329 from ST, and 31 from the PwD category.
  • Male candidates: 21,966 attended, with 9,711 from General, 3,171 from EWS, 7,210 from OBC (NCL), 1,479 from SC, 395 from ST, and 76 from the PwD category.
  • Third-gender candidate: 1 appeared, belonging to the General category.

In total, 41,872 candidates were present for the examination, with the General category leading at 20,502 attendees, followed by OBC (NCL) at 12,541, EWS at 5,565, SC at 2,540, ST at 724, and PwD at 107.

CMAT is a nationally recognised entrance examination that facilitates admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses offered by leading business schools and management institutes throughout India.
