CBSE Integrates Curriculum-Based Learning with PM e-Vidya Channel

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a significant step toward enhancing digital learning by directing all affiliated schools to utilize the PM e-Vidya CBSE Channel 15. This initiative is designed to make academic content more accessible and aligned with the official CBSE curriculum, covering subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, among others.

Curriculum-Aligned Content for Better Understanding

The board has confirmed that all educational materials available on the channel strictly correspond to the CBSE syllabus. The video library includes a wide range of topics that cater to the academic needs of students, ensuring that learners can access relevant study material at their convenience. From solving complex mathematical problems to grasping scientific concepts, the channel offers a structured learning experience that supports classroom teaching.

According to CBSE officials, the integration of these digital resources into daily teaching practices is expected to significantly improve the quality of instruction. Teachers are encouraged to incorporate these videos into their lesson plans and classroom sessions, while students can use them for self-paced learning, revision, and concept clarification.

Supporting Teachers and Students Alike

In a recent circular issued to school principals, the board highlighted the multiple benefits of using these educational videos. The content is not only useful for reinforcing what is taught in class but also serves as an effective tool for revision and remedial learning. Educators can leverage these resources to make their teaching more interactive and engaging, while students gain the flexibility to revisit challenging topics on their own.

The board also emphasized that the use of these videos will help promote digital education and ensure the delivery of high-quality learning materials to students across the country. By integrating technology into the classroom, CBSE aims to create a more dynamic and inclusive educational environment.

Call for Expert Contributions

To further enrich the content library, CBSE has invited subject matter experts to contribute by creating high-quality e-videos on various topics. The board believes that involving experienced educators will make the content more practical, innovative, and student-friendly. This collaborative approach is expected to bring fresh perspectives and diverse teaching methodologies to the platform, ultimately benefiting a larger student community.

Current Status of the Channel

The PM e-Vidya initiative was launched in 2024 with the objective of providing digital education through dedicated television channels. Under this program, 200 channels were introduced, with CBSE being allocated Channel Number 15. At present, the channel hosts 67 educational e-videos that are specifically designed for students and teachers from Class 9 to Class 11.

These videos cover a broad spectrum of subjects and are tailored to meet the academic requirements of secondary and higher secondary students. The content has been curated to ensure that it aligns with the learning objectives outlined in the CBSE curriculum, making it a valuable resource for both classroom instruction and independent study.

Encouraging School Participation

CBSE has urged school heads to create the necessary infrastructure and awareness among their teaching staff and students regarding the availability of e-content on the PM e-Vidya CBSE 15 channel. Schools are advised to actively promote the use of these resources and integrate them into their regular academic schedule. By doing so, institutions can ensure that students derive maximum benefit from this digital learning initiative.

The move reflects CBSE’s commitment to modernizing education and making quality learning resources accessible to all. As digital platforms continue to reshape the educational landscape, initiatives like PM e-Vidya are playing a crucial role in bridging the gap between traditional teaching methods and contemporary learning needs.
