JEE Main 2026 Session 2: Exam Schedule Revised, New Dates Announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially revised the schedule for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Along with the updated timeline, the city intimation slips have also been released for candidates. As per the new plan, the examinations will now be conducted between April 2 and April 8, 2026, instead of the previously announced dates that extended to April 9.
The computer-based test will be held in two shifts each day. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to check the official website for their city allocation details and stay updated on further announcements.
Updated Exam Dates for Different Papers
According to the revised schedule, the examination dates for each paper are as follows:
- BE and BTech (Paper 1): April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, 2026
- B.Arch and B.Planning (Paper 2A and 2B): April 7, 2026
This adjustment gives candidates a clear picture of when their respective papers will be held, allowing them to plan their preparation and travel accordingly.
How to Download the City Intimation Slip
Candidates can download their city intimation slip from the official JEE Main website. The process requires logging in with the application number and password. Once logged in, the slip can be viewed and saved for future reference.
The city intimation slip provides essential information about the city where the examination centre is located. This helps candidates make early arrangements for travel and accommodation, especially those who may need to travel to a different city for the exam.
Exam Centres and Admit Card Details
The examination will be conducted across multiple cities within the country, as well as in 15 cities outside India. The test will be held in two shifts as mentioned earlier. The NTA is expected to release the admit cards shortly.
The admit card will contain crucial details including the exact date and time of the examination, the candidate’s name, date of birth, full address of the exam centre, and important instructions that must be followed on the day of the test. To download the admit card, candidates will again need to use their application number and password.
Important Instructions for Candidates
It is mandatory for all candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre, as it serves as the primary document for identity verification. It is important to note that the city intimation slip is issued only for informational purposes and does not need to be brought to the exam centre.
In case any candidate faces difficulty while downloading the city intimation slip or has any other exam-related query, they can reach out to the NTA helpline for assistance. Support is available via phone or email, and the team is equipped to resolve issues related to login, downloading documents, or any other technical concerns.
All candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for the latest updates regarding the admit card release and any other important announcements related to JEE Main 2026 Session 2.
