NEET UG 2026 Application Correction Deadline: Final Opportunity Today

Candidates who have applied for NEET UG 2026 and noticed errors in their application forms have their last chance to make corrections today. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has kept the correction window active until 11:50 PM on March 14, 2026. This facility allows applicants to rectify mistakes made during the initial submission process.

The registration period for NEET UG 2026 ran from February 8 to March 11, 2026, during which lakhs of aspirants successfully submitted their forms. With the correction window closing tonight, students must complete any necessary modifications before the deadline passes. Once this facility is withdrawn, no further changes will be permitted under any circumstances.

What Details Can Be Modified

The correction window enables candidates to update several categories of information in their application. It is essential to understand exactly which fields are editable before logging in to make changes.

Parental Information

Applicants can modify the details of either their father or mother. This includes updating the parent’s name, educational qualification, and current occupation. Only one parent’s information can be changed during this window.

Academic and Personal Details

Several academic fields are open for correction, including Class 10 and Class 12 educational information. Candidates can also update the state or union territory where they completed their Class 12 examinations. Other editable fields include category, sub-category or disability status, signature, and the number of attempts in NEET UG.

Examination Preferences

Applicants have the option to change their preferred examination city based on either their permanent or current residential address. The choice of examination medium or language can also be revised during this period.

Identity Information

Those who registered using an identity document other than Aadhaar card can make corrections to their identity-related details. This provision ensures that candidates can align their application with the correct identification information before the examination.

Step-by-Step Guide to Making Corrections

To make the necessary changes, candidates must follow a straightforward online process. The entire procedure can be completed through the official NTA portal without any physical documentation.

  • Visit the official NTA website dedicated to NEET UG applications
  • Locate and click on the NEET UG 2026 Correction Window link on the homepage
  • Log in using your application number, password, and security pin
  • Once logged in, the application form will appear on screen with editable fields
  • Make the desired changes only in the fields that are open for correction
  • After completing all modifications, click the Submit button to save your changes
  • Download and save the revised application form as a PDF or take a printout for future reference

Candidates are advised to review their application thoroughly before submitting changes. Any error in the correction process itself could lead to complications later. It is also recommended to complete the process well before the 11:50 PM deadline to avoid any last-minute technical difficulties or server congestion.

After the correction window closes, the NTA will process the updated applications and proceed with the next stages of the examination cycle. Candidates should keep their revised application details safe and note that no further modifications will be entertained once this window expires.
