UPPSC Announces LT Grade Teacher Prelims Results for Four Subjects

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), based in Prayagraj, has officially released the preliminary examination results for the LT Grade Assistant Teacher (Trained Graduate) recruitment drive of 2025. The results pertain to four specific subjects: Science, Commerce, Sanskrit, and Home Science. Candidates who have successfully cleared this stage will now be eligible to appear for the upcoming main examination.

This recruitment process was conducted under advertisement number A-5/E-1/2025, dated 28 July 2025. The preliminary exams were held in December 2025 across multiple sessions, and the outcome has been shared through separate official press releases for each subject. Aspirants can now check their individual results by visiting the official UPPSC website. Details regarding the main examination schedule and the online application window will be communicated separately by the commission.

Science Subject: Exam Details and Vacancy Breakdown

The preliminary examination for the Science subject was conducted on 7 December 2025, during the first session. A total of 1,337 teaching positions are available under this subject, with 764 posts allocated to the male category and 573 to the female category. Additionally, there are 16 special education teacher roles reserved for various institutions under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. This includes 10 positions for Sparsh Blind Schools or Integrated Special Secondary Schools, 4 for Signal Deaf and Dumb Schools, and 2 for Prayas Physically Disabled Schools.

For the Science paper, 1,02,953 candidates had registered, out of which 49,538 actually appeared for the examination. Following the evaluation, 329 candidates have been declared successful and will advance to the main examination. The commission noted that the required ratio of 15 candidates per vacancy could not be achieved for certain categories due to a shortage of candidates meeting the minimum qualifying marks.

Commerce Subject: Performance Overview

The Commerce subject examination took place on 21 December 2025, in the second session. This category includes 35 posts for male candidates and 23 for female candidates, bringing the total to 58 vacancies. A substantial number of 66,165 applicants had registered for this paper, but only 30,619 candidates turned up to take the test. From this group, 887 candidates have successfully qualified for the main examination stage.

Furthermore, an additional 6 posts have been designated for special schools, taking the overall vacancy count to 188.

Registration for the Sanskrit examination saw 40,402 candidates, of whom 26,273 appeared for the test. The results show that 2,772 candidates have made it through to the main examination. Similar to the Science subject, the commission reported that the 15-times candidate ratio could not be fulfilled for certain categories, again due to candidates failing to secure the minimum qualifying scores.

Home Science Subject: Key Highlights

The Home Science preliminary examination was conducted on 21 December 2025, in the first session. This subject encompasses 206 vacancies in the male category and 163 in the female category. Aggregate Figures for All Four Subjects

When looking at the combined data across all four subjects, the scale of this recruitment drive becomes evident. A grand total of 2,98,743 candidates registered for the preliminary examinations. From this pool, 1,61,905 candidates appeared for their respective tests. Ultimately, 6,772 candidates have been shortlisted to compete in the main examination.

The commission has clarified that the schedule and application procedure for the main examination will be announced in due course. It also stated that individual marks and cutoff scores will only be made public after the final selection results are declared. Furthermore, requests for information regarding results or cutoffs under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, will not be entertained.

In a related note, the commission mentioned that the results for female candidates residing outside Uttar Pradesh will remain subject to the final judgment of the Honorable High Court, as per Special Appeal No. 475 (D)/2019 filed by the state government.
