Thousands Gather at Jasol Temple on Falgun Trayodashi

On the auspicious occasion of Falgun Shukla Trayodashi, the revered Shri Rani Bhatiyani Temple in Jasol witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees. The temple complex, a cornerstone of Rajasthan’s spiritual heritage, transformed into a vibrant hub of faith and devotion from the early hours of the morning. As the first rays of sunlight touched the horizon, the air resonated with chants of “Jai Ma Jasol,” creating an atmosphere charged with religious fervor.

Long queues of pilgrims, hailing from distant districts and rural hinterlands, began forming well before sunrise. The orderly lines stretched from the main entrance all the way to the outer circumambulation path, reflecting the deep-rooted reverence the local population holds for this sacred site.

Devotees Begin Their Pilgrimage at Dawn

The temple doors opened with the break of dawn, and worshippers commenced their darshan in a disciplined and respectful manner. Women, draped in traditional chunris and carrying thalis adorned with coconuts and vermillion, were visibly moved by spiritual emotion. Meanwhile, men stood patiently in queues alongside their families, awaiting their turn to offer prayers. The entire premises were filled with the soulful melodies of devotional songs, lending a deeply spiritual ambiance to the proceedings.

Pilgrims performed meticulous rituals at the main shrine of Shri Rani Bhatiyani, seeking blessings for familial happiness, prosperity, good health, and a harmonious life. The surrounding temples dedicated to Shri Bayosa, Shri Sawai Singh Ji, Shri Lal Banna Sa, Shri Khetlaji, and Shri Kala-Gaura Bhairuji also attracted significant attention. At each shrine, devotees lit lamps, offered flowers, and bowed their heads in prayer, making heartfelt wishes.

Newlyweds Mark a Special Occasion

Trayodashi is considered particularly auspicious for newly married couples, and this year was no exception. A large number of newlyweds visited the temple to seek blessings. Brides, adorned in traditional attire, and grooms wearing turbans, bowed reverently at the goddess’s feet. These couples prayed for love, harmony, unbroken marital fortune, and prosperity in their new lives together. Many families participated with great enthusiasm, considering this their first collective darshan as a married unit.

Comprehensive Arrangements by Temple Authorities

Anticipating the massive turnout, the temple administration implemented extensive arrangements to manage the crowds effectively. A zigzag lining system was deployed from the main entrance to the inner sanctum, ensuring smooth and controlled movement of devotees. The complex was equipped with clean drinking water stations, shaded tents and temporary shelters, rest areas for the elderly and women, and first-aid facilities.

Security measures were bolstered with CCTV surveillance covering the entire premises. A public announcement system broadcasted timely instructions and essential information to the pilgrims. A dedicated team of volunteers worked tirelessly to maintain order in the queues and assist senior citizens. These efforts ensured that the darshan remained peaceful and uninterrupted throughout the day.

Kanya Pujan and Distribution of Prasad

In observance of the sacred day, a formal Kanya Pujan ceremony was conducted for young girls from the wider Jasol municipal area. On a specially decorated stage within the temple complex, the girls were invited and their feet were ceremonially washed. They were offered fruits, prasad, and monetary gifts as a mark of respect and blessing. A large number of devotees attended this event, honoring the girls as embodiments of the divine mother.

Grand Night Vigil on the Eve of Trayodashi

The evening preceding Trayodashi featured a magnificent night vigil within the temple grounds. Local devotional singing groups presented soulful performances extolling the glory of Ma Jasol. The rhythmic beats of the dholak and the melodies of the harmonium kept the devotees captivated until late into the night. The entire atmosphere was saturated with devotional essence, as worshippers, deeply moved, immersed themselves in the spiritual music.

Live Telecast of Evening Aarti

The evening aarti on this special occasion was broadcast live, allowing devotees residing across the country and abroad to participate from their homes. Through digital platforms, a vast number of worshippers joined the aarti online, experiencing the divine spectacle and spiritual joy. The live stream enabled them to feel connected to the temple’s sacred energy despite the physical distance.

Temple to Remain Closed During Lunar Eclipse

In light of the upcoming lunar eclipse, temple spokesperson Kunwar Harishchandra Singh Jasol announced that the temple doors will remain closed from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on March 3, 2026, in accordance with tradition. During the eclipse period, all regular worship, aarti, and darshan will be suspended. The temple administration has appealed to devotees to remain at their homes and establishments during this time, engaging in meditation and remembrance of Ma Jasol.
