Jehanabad Police Issue Stern Warning Ahead of Holi Celebrations

As the vibrant festival of Holi approaches, authorities in Jehanabad have adopted a firm stance against any form of disruptive behavior. Superintendent of Police Aparajit Lohaan has delivered a clear message to the public: any individual found creating disturbances during the festivities will face stringent consequences. The district police administration is leaving no room for complacency, with security measures already being put into motion across sensitive areas.

Flag Marches Conducted in Key Regions

In a proactive move to ensure a peaceful and harmonious celebration, police officials organized extensive flag marches in the Makhdumpur and Tehta regions. These marches were led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar) and involved personnel from multiple local police stations. The procession commenced at Makhdumpur market and wound through main roads, intersections, and areas identified as particularly sensitive. The visible presence of law enforcement aimed to reassure residents while simultaneously discouraging any potential troublemakers.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

Throughout the flag march, officers engaged directly with the community, walking through the streets and urging citizens to celebrate Holi in an atmosphere of mutual respect and goodwill. Authorities emphasized that spreading rumors, engaging in rowdy behavior, or attempting to disrupt public order would invite immediate and strict action. The deployment of riot-control equipment further underscored the administration’s readiness to handle any situation. This visible security presence helped foster a sense of safety among local residents.

Enhanced Vigilance in Market Areas

Station House Officer Divakar Vishwakarma of Makhdumpur confirmed that the flag march was carried out on the direct orders of the Superintendent of Police. He noted that special attention is being paid to commercial zones, where additional personnel have been stationed. Night patrols have also been intensified to preempt any untoward incidents. In addition, social media platforms are being closely monitored to track and counter any inflammatory content or false information that could disturb the peace.

Tehta Region Also Under Watch

Similarly, in the Tehta area, Station House Officer Pankaj Kumar reported that a flag march was conducted through the local market and surrounding neighborhoods. Police personnel took the opportunity to speak with shopkeepers, young people, and ordinary citizens, requesting their full cooperation with the administration. Kumar reiterated that Holi is a festival of colors and joy, and it is the shared responsibility of everyone to celebrate it in a spirit of harmony and goodwill.

Clear Directives on Prohibited Actions

The district administration has outlined specific behaviors that will not be tolerated during the festival. These include driving under the influence of alcohol, forcibly applying colors to unwilling individuals, playing DJ music at excessive volumes, and engaging in any form of chaotic or antisocial activity. Residents have been advised to ignore baseless rumors and to promptly report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station. Authorities expressed confidence that with the support of the public, the Holi festival will pass peacefully and without incident.

  • Strict action against drunk driving and forced color application
  • Noise limits enforced for DJ systems and public music
  • Immediate reporting of suspicious behavior encouraged
  • Social media under surveillance to prevent misinformation
