Airtel Expands Unlimited Data to All Postpaid Users Nationwide

Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom provider, has announced a significant policy change for its postpaid subscribers. The company will now offer unlimited data on all postpaid plans across every circle in the country. Previously available only in select regions, this benefit has now been extended nationwide, covering all users regardless of their location or plan.

Key Details of the Unlimited Data Offer

Under this new initiative, every postpaid customer—whether on an entry-level or premium plan—will receive unlimited high-speed data. However, Airtel has set a fair usage policy cap of 300GB over a 30-day cycle. Once a user crosses this threshold, data speeds may be reduced, but access remains uninterrupted. This ensures heavy users can still stay connected, albeit at lower speeds, without incurring additional charges.

Postpaid Plan Pricing and Features

Airtel’s postpaid plans start at ₹449 per month, exclusive of 18% GST. The base plan offers a 30-day validity with 50GB of data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 daily SMS. Beyond the core benefits, subscribers also receive a suite of added perks:

  • 100GB Google One cloud storage for secure backups and file management.
  • 3-month JioHotstar Mobile subscription for streaming entertainment on the go.
  • One-year Adobe Premium access to creative tools and services.
  • Airtel Xstream Play membership for on-demand movies and shows.

These extras are designed to enhance the overall value proposition, making the plans more attractive for both individual and family users.

Family Plans Also Covered

For households, Airtel offers a family postpaid plan starting at ₹699 per month (plus 18% GST). This plan allows two active SIM cards and typically includes 105GB of shared data. With the new unlimited data policy, family plan users will also enjoy the same uncapped data benefit, subject to the 300GB fair usage cap. This move simplifies data management for families, eliminating the need to track individual usage limits.

What This Means for Subscribers

The nationwide rollout of unlimited data on all postpaid plans marks a strategic shift for Airtel. By removing geographical restrictions, the company aims to attract new customers while retaining existing ones. The 300GB cap ensures network stability for all users, preventing congestion while still offering generous data allowances for most daily activities—including streaming, browsing, and video calls.

Existing postpaid users do not need to take any action; the benefit will be automatically applied to their accounts. New subscribers can choose from a range of plans tailored to different needs, all now backed by the unlimited data promise. This development positions Airtel as a competitive player in the postpaid segment, especially against rivals who offer similar unlimited data schemes.
