CBSE Mandates Regular Updates of Teacher Information on School Websites

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a formal directive requiring all affiliated schools to consistently refresh and publish detailed teacher information on their official websites. This move is designed to enhance transparency and ensure that parents and students have access to accurate, up-to-date data about the educators at their institutions.

Key Details Schools Must Publish

According to the official circular released by the board, every affiliated school is now obligated to display comprehensive profiles of its teaching staff. The required information includes the full names of teachers, their professional experience records, valid supporting documents, and their academic qualifications. To standardize this process, the board has also provided a specific format that schools must follow when uploading these details.

Beyond teacher credentials, the directive extends to other critical institutional data. Schools are now required to regularly update information regarding their affiliation status, total student enrollment figures, and the complete fee structure. This broader transparency initiative aims to give parents a clearer picture of what each school offers before they make important educational decisions.

Student-Teacher Ratio Guidelines

In addition to the website update requirements, CBSE has emphasized that schools must maintain an appropriate student-teacher ratio. The board has clearly stated that this ratio should not exceed 30:1 under any circumstances. This guideline is intended to ensure that students receive adequate individual attention and that teaching quality remains high across all affiliated institutions.

Compliance and Penalties

CBSE has made it unequivocally clear that adherence to these instructions is not optional. Schools that fail to comply with the new regulations will face consequences under the board’s affiliation bylaws. The potential penalties could include disciplinary action against the institution, and in severe cases, monetary fines may also be imposed. This strict stance underscores the board’s commitment to maintaining high standards of accountability and openness within its affiliated network.

The board believes that this initiative will significantly benefit parents by giving them the tools they need to evaluate teaching facilities and make informed choices about their children’s education. By making essential information readily accessible, CBSE aims to foster a more informed and engaged school community across the country.
