CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Results Released
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially published the results for the Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2025 examination. Candidates who appeared for the test can now access their scorecards on the official website. The results were finalised after the resolution of candidate objections and the finalisation of the answer key.
Examination Overview
The Computer Based Test (CBT) was conducted nationwide on 18 December 2025, spanning two shifts across 220 examination centres in India. A total of 2,12,552 candidates registered for the exam, which covered five distinct subjects: Life Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
Candidate Statistics by Gender
The registration data reveals a significant participation of female candidates. Out of the total registered applicants, 1,25,748 were women, 86,801 were men, and 3 candidates identified as third gender. However, the actual turnout was lower, with 1,54,080 candidates appearing for the examination. This included 93,193 women, 60,886 men, and 1 third-gender candidate.

Subject-wise Attendance Breakdown
The exam was conducted in two shifts, with the first shift covering three subjects and the second shift covering the remaining two. Life Sciences saw the highest registration with 90,434 candidates, of which 67,032 appeared. Chemical Sciences followed with 45,348 registrations and 32,957 appearances. Mathematical Sciences had 37,177 registered candidates with 26,114 present, while Physical Sciences recorded 31,500 registrations and 22,533 appearances. The Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences subject had 8,093 registrations, with 5,444 candidates attending.

Candidates can follow these steps to view and download their results:
- Visit the official NTA CSIR NET website
- Locate and select the scorecard link for the December 2025 examination
- Enter your application number and date of birth on the login page
- Submit the details to view your scorecard
- Download the scorecard and keep a printed copy for future reference
The scorecard contains essential information regarding the candidate’s performance in the respective subject. It is advisable to verify all details on the scorecard and contact the examination authority in case of any discrepancies. Successful candidates will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship and lectureship positions as per the CSIR UGC NET norms.
