CTET February 2026 Paper 2 Rescheduled at Two Exam Centres
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of the CTET February 2026 Paper 2 examination at two specific centres due to unavoidable circumstances. The affected candidates will have their exam rescheduled within the next two weeks, with fresh dates to be revealed shortly on the official board portal.
Paper 2 of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, which qualifies candidates to teach classes 6 through 8, was originally scheduled for February 7. While the vast majority of test locations operated without disruption, two centres in the Vaishali district of Hajipur could not proceed as planned.
Which Centres Were Affected?
The two centres where the examination could not take place are:
- Centre Code 125016 – St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar
- Centre Code 125014 – Lakshya International Academy
Candidates assigned to these two locations are advised to monitor official communication channels closely, as CBSE will directly notify them about the revised schedule and timing. The board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured affected candidates that the re-exam will be conducted securely and without further delay.
Nationwide Conduct of the Exam
Across the country, the CTET 2026 was scheduled to take place at a total of 1,803 examination centres. Of these, Paper 2 was successfully completed at 1,801 centres. Reports indicate that the examination proceeded peacefully and efficiently at the vast majority of venues, with candidates appearing at their designated times without any major issues.
The board shared the update through its official social media handle, confirming the successful conduct of the exam at nearly all locations while highlighting the two exceptions.
Admit Card Details and Exam Day Requirements
Admit cards for the CTET 2026 were released on February 5. All candidates are required to carry a printed copy of their admit card to the examination centre along with a valid photo identification document. This dual verification process ensures that only registered and eligible candidates gain entry to the exam hall.
