Candidates will now be required to take their photograph in real-time while filling out the form. The face must occupy approximately 80 percent of the frame and remain clearly visible throughout the image.
The NTA has issued specific instructions regarding the photo session. Applicants should avoid wearing caps, spectacles, or goggles when capturing the image, as this could interfere with the matching process against the Aadhaar database. For those who do not have access to a webcam, the system offers an alternative option to scan a QR code and use a mobile camera to upload the photograph.

For candidates applying from outside India, the application fee is Rs. 9,500.
