MP RTE Lottery Result 2026 Announced: Over One Lakh Children Secure Free Seats in Private Schools

The School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh has officially declared the much-awaited Right to Education (RTE) lottery results on April 2, 2026. This year, a total of 1,06,051 children have been granted free admission to private schools across the state under the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. Parents and guardians who had submitted applications for their children can now check the outcomes online through the official RTE portal.

The allocation status for each child has been made available on the designated RTE portal. Applicants can log in using their credentials to view the school assigned to their child. Additionally, the department is sending SMS notifications to the registered mobile numbers of all applicants, ensuring that families receive timely updates about their child’s seat allocation.

First Phase Lottery Results: Key Highlights

Harjinder Singh, the Director of the State Education Centre, officially announced the lottery results. According to his statement, the first phase of the lottery has successfully allocated free seats to 1,06,051 children in private schools throughout Madhya Pradesh. Among these successful applicants, an impressive 91,543 children have received admission to their first-choice school, reflecting the efficiency of the allocation process.

The announcement was also shared through the official social media handle of the School Education Department, highlighting the transparency and digital approach adopted for this year’s admission drive. The online lottery system ensured a fair and streamlined selection process for all applicants.

Second Phase Lottery Scheduled After April 15

For children who could not secure a seat in the first phase, there is still hope. The department has confirmed that a second phase of the lottery will be conducted after April 15, 2026. This subsequent round will focus on allocating seats to the remaining applicants who are yet to receive a school assignment. Parents are advised to keep their documents ready and monitor the official portal for further updates regarding the second phase.

How to Download the Allotment Letter

With the results now public, parents whose children have been allocated seats in private schools can proceed to download the official allotment letter. The process is straightforward and can be completed entirely online through the RTE portal. This document serves as the official confirmation of admission and must be presented to the respective school during the admission formalities.

Required Login Credentials

To access and download the allotment letter, parents and guardians will need the following information:

  • Application number
  • Registered mobile number
  • Child’s date of birth

Once these details are entered correctly, the allotment letter will be displayed and can be downloaded for future reference. It is recommended that parents save a digital copy as well as take a printout for submission to the allocated school.

Important Points for Parents

The RTE Act aims to provide equitable educational opportunities to children from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups. This year’s lottery results mark a significant step toward fulfilling that objective in Madhya Pradesh. The state education department has urged all successful applicants to complete the admission process within the stipulated timeframe to avoid forfeiting their allocated seats.

Parents who face any difficulty in downloading the allotment letter or accessing the portal are advised to reach out to the helpline numbers provided by the education department. It is essential to verify all details on the allotment letter and cross-check the school name, location, and other relevant information before proceeding with the admission formalities.

The announcement of the second phase lottery date will be made through official channels, and all pending applicants are encouraged to stay updated through the portal and SMS alerts. The department has assured that the entire process will be conducted smoothly and transparently, ensuring that every eligible child gets the opportunity to receive quality education in a private school setting.
