PSEB Releases Final Answer Key for PSTET 2025 Papers

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially published the final answer key for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2025. This key covers both Paper 1, intended for primary level teaching, and Paper 2, for upper primary level. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access the answer key through the official examination portal to estimate their scores before the formal results are announced.

Accessing the Answer Key

A notable convenience for candidates is that no login credentials are required to view or download the answer key. The document is openly accessible on the designated examination website. The final key has been released after a thorough review of all objections and challenges submitted by candidates against the earlier provisional version. It contains the definitive answers for all 150 questions that appeared in the test.

Understanding the Marking Scheme

With the final answer key in hand, aspirants can calculate their probable marks with relative ease. According to the official marking criteria, each correct response earns one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, meaning unattempted or wrong responses will not lead to any deduction. This straightforward calculation allows candidates to tally their scores quickly by comparing their responses with the official answers.

Exam Overview and Qualification Criteria

The PSTET examination was conducted on 15 March 2026 across various centres in Punjab. This test serves as a mandatory eligibility gateway for individuals aspiring to teach students from Class 1 through Class 8 in schools across the state. Clearing this exam is a prerequisite for those seeking teaching positions in government and private schools that follow the state curriculum.

For the results, which are expected to be announced soon, the passing criteria differ by category. Candidates belonging to the General and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories must secure a minimum of 60 percent, which translates to 90 marks out of the total 150. Meanwhile, candidates from the OBC, SC, and ST categories are required to achieve a passing threshold of 55 percent, equivalent to 82 marks out of 150.

Post-Result Corrections

Once the results are published, candidates who successfully clear the examination will have a limited window to request any necessary corrections to their personal details. Such requests can be submitted via email within the stipulated timeframe. This provision ensures that any discrepancies in candidate information can be rectified before the issuance of final certificates or eligibility documents.

Candidates are advised to keep checking the official portal for updates regarding the result declaration date and any further instructions related to the certification process.
