CBSE Class 10 Results Expected Soon: Key Updates and How to Access Marksheets

The wait for CBSE Class 10 results is nearly over. According to recent reports, the board is expected to announce the examination outcomes between April 15 and April 20, 2026. While an official confirmation of the exact date has not yet been made, students are advised to prepare for the release in the coming days. Once declared, results will be accessible through multiple official platforms, ensuring a smooth experience for all candidates.

DigiLocker Update Signals Imminent Release

A significant development has emerged on the DigiLocker platform ahead of the official announcement. The update indicates that CBSE Class 10 marksheets could be made available on the digital document platform very soon. Students whose APAAR ID is already linked with their CBSE records will be able to view their results directly under the Issued Documents section of DigiLocker. To access this, candidates need to log in using their Aadhaar number. Those who do not yet have an APAAR ID must create their DigiLocker account first before they can retrieve their marksheet.

Official Platforms for Checking Results

Once the results are declared, students can check and download their marksheets from the following official channels:

  • The main CBSE website
  • The dedicated results portal for CBSE examinations
  • DigiLocker’s official results page
  • The UMANG government services platform

Additionally, candidates can use the DigiLocker and UMANG mobile applications for convenient access to their results without needing to visit a desktop website.

Why the APAAR ID Matters

Understanding the role of the APAAR ID is crucial for students planning to access their results through DigiLocker. Candidates whose APAAR ID is already connected to their CBSE records will find their marksheet automatically available in their DigiLocker account. For those without an APAAR ID, the first step is to set up their DigiLocker account and ensure their details are properly registered. Taking care of this beforehand can help avoid any last-minute confusion when results are released.

Exam and Evaluation Status

This year, the CBSE board has introduced a two-phase examination format for Class 10. The second phase is tentatively scheduled for May, which has prompted the board to expedite the release of results for the first phase. The Class 10 examinations have already concluded, and the evaluation of answer sheets is reportedly nearing completion. This explains the expectation of an early result announcement. However, Class 12 results may take a little longer, as the evaluation process for those papers is still underway.

Will Results Be Announced on April 15?

Several reports speculate that the CBSE Class 10 results could be released around April 15. Despite these predictions, the board has not officially confirmed any specific date. Students are strongly advised to rely only on official announcements and verified notifications. Checking unofficial sources or acting on unverified rumours can lead to unnecessary confusion and anxiety.

Alternative Methods to Access Results Without Internet

For students who may not have reliable internet access, there are alternative ways to check CBSE Class 10 results. Two convenient options are available through SMS and IVRS (phone call).

Checking Results via SMS

Students can receive their results on their mobile phones through a simple text message. Open the messaging app on your phone and type the following format: cbse10 followed by your roll number, date of birth, school number, and centre number. Send this message to the designated number provided by the board. The result will be sent back to your phone via SMS.

Checking Results via IVRS (Phone Call)

Another reliable method is using the IVRS facility. Students can call the designated phone number and follow the automated instructions to hear their results. This option is particularly useful for those who prefer voice-based information over text.

Dealing with Website Traffic on Result Day

It is common for official websites to experience heavy traffic on the day results are announced. This can lead to slow loading times or even temporary unavailability of the sites. Students should not panic in such situations. Instead, they can switch to alternative platforms like DigiLocker, the UMANG app, SMS, or IVRS to access their results. Patience and preparedness are key to a stress-free result-checking experience.
