MPBSE Class 12 Results 2026: District-Wise Performance Highlights
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) officially released the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) examination results on April 15, 2026. This year’s outcome has drawn significant attention due to notable variations in performance across different districts, particularly when comparing regular versus private candidates and government versus non-government institutions.
Regular and Private Students: Top 20 Districts
Jhabua emerged as the frontrunner for regular students, recording an impressive pass percentage of 93.23%. Anuppur followed closely with 93.04%, while Narsinghpur secured the third position with 92.62%. Other districts that demonstrated strong results include Alirajpur (91.59%), Sidhi (90.00%), and Mandla (89.41%).
The performance gap between regular and private candidates remains a point of discussion. While regular students in several districts crossed the 85% mark, private candidates generally recorded lower percentages. For instance, Narsinghpur led among private students with 59.93%, followed by Mandla at 47.56% and Shahdol at 45.67%. In contrast, districts like Sidhi (22.99%) and Sehore (26.87%) saw relatively modest outcomes for private candidates.
Rounding out the top 20 list for regular students were Neemuch (87.36%), Dindori (86.87%), Balaghat (86.67%), Khandwa (86.57%), Sehore (86.47%), Shahdol (85.75%), Mandsaur (84.89%), Shajapur (84.37%), Raisen (82.35%), Narmadapuram (81.91%), Chhindwara (81.86%), Ujjain (81.60%), Ratlam (81.14%), and Seoni (81.05%).
Government vs. Non-Government Schools: Top 20 Districts
When examining institutional performance, Morena stood out for having the most significant disparity between school types. Government schools in Morena achieved a pass rate of 68.38%, while non-government schools lagged at 48.94%. Balaghat, however, presented a more balanced picture with government institutions at 89.28% and private ones at 72.21%.
Anuppur topped this category with government schools recording 93.78% and non-government schools achieving 89.58%. Sidhi followed with 89.76% and 91.00% respectively, marking one of the few districts where private institutions outperformed their government counterparts. Panna also showed a similar trend with non-government schools at 80.87% against 77.25% for government schools.
Other districts featuring in this list include Sheopur (86.99% government, 68.57% non-government), Bhind (65.09%, 48.49%), Gwalior (71.39%, 58.13%), Datia (66.86%, 43.44%), Shivpuri (81.24%, 76.02%), Guna (81.15%, 75.01%), Ashoknagar (76.93%, 76.97%), Tikamgarh (68.95%, 58.96%), Chhatarpur (80.62%, 64.51%), Sagar (80.19%, 68.02%), Damoh (62.46%, 50.90%), Niwari (65.40%, 71.01%), Satna (74.51%, 70.67%), Rewa (68.38%, 63.63%), Shahdol (86.35%, 84.13%), and Umaria (80.58%, 79.40%).
These district-wise figures provide valuable insights into the educational landscape across Madhya Pradesh, highlighting both areas of strength and those requiring focused attention in future academic sessions.
