UP Board Class 12 Results 2026: Agriculture Stream Shines with 93.55% Pass Rate
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially released the highly anticipated results for both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the academic year 2026. Among the various streams, the Agriculture Part-2 category has emerged as a standout performer, recording an impressive overall pass percentage of 93.55%. This remarkable achievement highlights the growing proficiency and dedication of students pursuing agricultural studies in the state.
In the Science stream, a student named Shikha Verma has secured the top position in the Class 12 examinations with an outstanding score of 97.60%. Her exceptional performance has brought pride to her institution and set a high benchmark for other students across the state.

Humanities Stream
- Total Registered: 8,46,561 students
- Total Appeared: 8,05,691 students
- Total Passed: 6,13,748 students

Within this stream, female students achieved a significantly higher pass rate of 81.06%, compared to 67.11% for male students. The humanities stream saw the highest number of female registrations among all streams, with over 5.4 lakh girls enrolling.
Science Stream
- Total Registered: 16,14,797 students
- Total Appeared: 15,69,645 students
- Total Passed: 12,89,470 students
- Overall Pass Percentage: 82.15%
The science stream attracted the largest number of candidates, with boys comprising a majority of the registrations. However, girls again demonstrated superior performance with a 90.44% pass rate versus 76.79% for boys. This stream also produced the state topper, Shikha Verma.
Commerce Stream
- Total Registered: 59,189 students
- Total Appeared: 57,356 students
- Total Passed: 51,856 students
- Overall Pass Percentage: 90.41%
The commerce stream recorded the second-highest overall pass percentage among all categories. Female students excelled remarkably here as well, achieving an impressive 96.25% success rate compared to 87.16% for their male peers.
Agriculture Part-1
- Total Registered: 12,049 students
- Total Appeared: 11,504 students
- Total Passed: 7,997 students
- Overall Pass Percentage: 69.51%
This segment saw predominantly male participation, with over 11,000 boys registered. The pass percentage stood at 68.09% for boys and a notably higher 84.69% for girls, despite their smaller numbers.
Agriculture Part-2
- Total Registered: 10,313 students
- Total Appeared: 10,166 students
- Total Passed: 9,510 students
- Overall Pass Percentage: 93.55%
This stream delivered the most outstanding results across the board. Boys achieved a 93.29% pass rate, while girls surpassed them with an exceptional 96.27% success rate. The near-universal success in this category underscores the effectiveness of agricultural education in the region.
Vocational Stream
- Total Registered: 32,551 students
- Total Appeared: 31,710 students
- Total Passed: 25,736 students
- Overall Pass Percentage: 81.16%
The vocational stream maintained a solid performance with an overall pass rate of 81.16%. Female candidates again outperformed males, recording 86.47% success compared to 76.86% for male students.
