UP Board Results 2026: Toppers in Class 10 and 12 Announced
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially declared the results for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2026. The announcement was made at the board’s headquarters in Prayagraj, bringing an end to the anticipation for millions of students across the state.
This year, the Class 12 examinations were topped by Shikha Verma, who achieved an impressive 97.60% aggregate. Meanwhile, the Class 10 exams saw a tie for the top position, with two students—Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma—sharing the honour of being state toppers.
Class 12 Topper: Shikha Verma
Shikha Verma has secured the first rank in the Intermediate examinations across the entire state. She scored a remarkable total of 488 marks out of 500, demonstrating exceptional academic consistency across all subjects.
Her subject-wise performance is particularly noteworthy:
- Mathematics: 100 out of 100 (perfect score)
- Physics: 99 marks
- English: 95 marks
- Chemistry: 87 marks
- Hindi: 87 marks
Shikha’s perfect score in Mathematics highlights her strong command over the subject, while her performance in Physics and English also contributed significantly to her top rank.
Class 10 Toppers: Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma
The High School examinations this year produced a rare tie for the first position. Both Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma scored an outstanding 587 marks out of 600, placing them jointly at the top of the merit list.

- Science: 99 marks
- Social Science: 99 marks
- Hindi: 98 marks
- Home Science: 97 marks

Kashish demonstrated exceptional consistency, scoring 99 marks in three subjects. Interestingly, while she did not achieve a perfect 100 in any single subject, her uniform performance across all six subjects secured her the top spot.

- Mathematics: 100 out of 100 (perfect score)
- Hindi: 99 marks
- Science: 99 marks
- English: 98 marks
- Art: 98 marks
- Social Science: 93 marks
Anshika’s perfect score in Mathematics stands out, and her strong performance in Hindi and Science further cemented her position at the top of the rankings.
Overall Pass Percentages and Statistics
The Class 10 examinations were taken by a total of 26,01,381 candidates this year. The pass percentage for boys stood at 87.30%, while girls outperformed their male counterparts with an impressive success rate of 93.76%. The merit list for Class 10 includes a total of 115 students within the top-10 ranks, reflecting the high level of competition.
For the Class 12 examinations, a total of 24,86,072 candidates appeared. Boys recorded a pass percentage of 75.04%, while girls again took the lead with an 86.32% success rate. The Class 12 merit list features 23 students within the top-10 positions.
The results reaffirm the continued academic excellence of female students across both examinations, with girls outperforming boys in pass percentages for both Class 10 and Class 12.
