UP Board Class 12 Results 2026: Toppers and Merit List Announced

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially released the results for the Class 12 Intermediate examinations. Along with the overall pass percentages, the board has also published the much-anticipated merit list, celebrating the outstanding achievements of students across the state. This year, a total of 80.38% of students successfully cleared the examinations, with female students outperforming their male counterparts. The pass rate stands at 86.32% for girls and 75.04% for boys.

Shikha Verma Secures the Top Position

Securing the coveted first rank in the UP Board Class 12 examinations is Shikha Verma from Sitapur. She has achieved an impressive score of 488 marks out of 500, translating to an exceptional percentage of 97.60%. Her remarkable performance has set a high standard for academic excellence in the state this year.

Top 3 Rank Holders in UP Board Class 12

The board has released the names of the students who have secured positions in the top three ranks. The list highlights the dedication and hard work of these young achievers from various districts.

  • Rank 1: Shikha Verma – 488 marks (97.60%) – Sitapur
  • Rank 2: Nandini Gupta – 486 marks (97.20%) – Bareilly
  • Rank 2: Shreya Verma – 486 marks (97.20%) – Barabanki
  • Rank 3: Surabhi Yadav – 485 marks (97.00%) – Bareilly
  • Rank 3: Pooja Pal – 485 marks (97.00%) – Barabanki

Rewards and Recognition for Meritorious Students

In recognition of their exceptional academic performance, the state government will honor the top-performing students with special awards. Students who achieve the highest rank at the state level will receive a cash prize of one lakh rupees, along with a laptop and a certificate of merit. Furthermore, students securing the first position at the district level will be awarded a cash prize of 21,000 rupees and a certificate of appreciation. This initiative aims to encourage and motivate students to strive for excellence in their educational pursuits.

Achieving the top rank in the UP Board examinations requires an exceptionally high score. For context, in the previous academic year (2025), the first position was secured by Mehak Jaiswal, who scored an impressive 97.20%. How to Check Your UP Board Class 12 Result

Students who appeared for the Class 12 examinations can now view their results online. The process is straightforward and requires only the student’s roll number. The following steps outline how to access the scorecard:

  • Navigate to the official results portal for the UP Board.
  • Select “UP Board” from the list of educational boards.
  • Click on the link designated for the “Class 12th Result.”
  • Enter your roll number, registration number, or roll code in the designated fields.
  • Click the “Submit” button to view your result.
  • Your mark sheet will be displayed on the screen; you can use the “Download” option to save a digital copy for future reference.

The announcement of the results marks a significant milestone for the lakhs of students who appeared for the examinations.
