UP Board Result 2026: Declared Today at 4 PM

The wait is finally over for millions of students across Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is set to release the High School and Intermediate examination results today, Thursday, April 23, at 4:00 PM. This year’s announcement comes three days earlier than last year’s schedule, bringing a wave of anticipation and anxiety for over 50 lakh students who appeared for the board examinations.

Who Will Announce the Results?

The results will be officially unveiled by Dr. Mahendra Dev, Director of Secondary Education, alongside Bhagwati Singh, Secretary of the Board. The declaration will take place at the Parishad headquarters, and students will be able to access their scores through the official website of the education board.

Exam Statistics at a Glance

A total of 53,37,778 candidates were registered for the 2026 board examinations. This diverse pool of examinees includes:

  • 25,23,112 female students
  • 28,14,612 male students
  • 54 transgender candidates

The examinations were conducted across 8,033 centers throughout the state, spanning from February 18 to March 12. This year, the exam duration stretched to 15 days, compared to just 12 days in the previous year. Approximately 26 lakh students appeared for the High School examination, while around 24.50 lakh candidates took the Intermediate exam.

Inclusive Examination Arrangements

In a notable display of inclusive education, the board ensured that even incarcerated individuals could participate in the examinations. Specifically, 176 High School and 184 Intermediate candidates residing in jails across the state were provided the opportunity to appear for their exams.

Breakdown of Examination Centers

The examination infrastructure was meticulously organized, with centers established across various types of institutions:

  • 596 government schools
  • 3,453 non-government aided schools
  • 3,984 self-financed schools

In total, the state’s educational network comprises approximately 4,512 aided schools, 2,420 government schools, and around 22,300 unaided private institutions.

Efficient and Transparent Evaluation Process

Following the successful completion of the examinations, the evaluation process was executed with remarkable efficiency. Answer sheets totaling approximately 2.75 crore were assessed across 254 evaluation centers between March 18 and April 4. The entire evaluation was completed in just 15 working days.

To ensure accuracy and maintain high standards, the board appointed principals and senior lecturers as auditors. This strategic move was designed to enhance the quality and reliability of the evaluation process, minimizing errors and ensuring fair assessment for all candidates.

Peaceful and Fair Examinations

The 2026 board examinations were conducted in a peaceful and strictly anti-cheating environment across all 8,033 centers. The successful organization of such a massive examination process reflects the robust educational framework of the state, accommodating over 50 lakh students simultaneously.

Support for Students After Results

Recognizing that not all students may be satisfied with their performance, Secretary Bhagwati Singh assured that the board will provide avenues for re-evaluation and compartment examinations. Students who feel their scores do not reflect their true potential can avail these facilities without hesitation.

The board has also appealed to parents and guardians to maintain their children’s morale during this crucial time. A supportive and positive environment at home can significantly help students navigate the outcome of their results, whether favorable or otherwise.

Students are advised to keep their admit cards and registration details handy to smoothly access their results on the official portal. The board has streamlined the process to ensure that students can view their scores without any technical difficulties once the results are officially declared this evening.
