Class 11 Non-Plan Admissions in Government Schools Begin April 30

Following the release of Class 10 board results by the Central Board of Secondary Education, government schools are now preparing to accept applications for Class 11 non-plan admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. The entire online registration process will be carried out in three distinct phases, giving students ample opportunity to secure their seats.

Admission Timeline and Key Dates

The first phase of the admission cycle will open on April 30 and remain active until May 20. This will be followed by a second window running from June 16 to July 6, and a final phase scheduled between July 31 and August 11. Students who wish to apply can complete their online registration through the official website of the Directorate of Education.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

According to the regulations set by the Directorate of Education, students who passed their Class 10 examinations in the 2025-26 session from government or government-aided schools in Delhi are not eligible to apply through this process. These students must instead get in touch with their previous school for further steps.

The non-plan admission route is specifically designed for students who are currently studying in private schools and wish to transition to a government school for their senior secondary education. Applicants must be between 15 and 17 years of age as of March 31, 2026. While age relaxations may be granted under special circumstances, all other eligibility norms must be strictly followed.

Applications can be submitted online either through the official Directorate of Education website or via mobile device. It is important to note that submitting more than one application will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate. Additionally, the directorate has made it clear that requests for changes to an allocated school will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Stream-Wise Academic Requirements

The directorate has released detailed academic criteria for admission into different streams. These requirements are based on the student’s performance in their Class 10 board examinations.

Science Stream

For students aspiring to take up Science with Mathematics, a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks is mandatory. Additionally, they must secure at least 50 percent individually in English, Mathematics, and Science subjects. Those who wish to pursue Science without Mathematics must also have a minimum of 55 percent overall, along with 50 percent in English and Science, and 40 percent each in Standard Mathematics or Basic Mathematics.

Commerce Stream

Students interested in Commerce with Mathematics need to have passed with at least 50 percent aggregate marks. Subject-wise requirements include 45 percent each in English and Social Science, along with 50 percent in either Standard or Basic Mathematics. For Commerce without Mathematics, the same 50 percent aggregate is needed, with 45 percent each in English, Hindi, and Social Science.

Arts and Humanities Stream

Admission to the Arts stream requires the student to have passed Class 10 examinations. For those who wish to study Economics as part of their Arts curriculum, a minimum of 45 percent marks is required. Students opting for Mathematics alongside Arts subjects must have secured at least 50 percent in Mathematics.

With the admission process set to begin shortly, students and parents are advised to prepare the necessary documents and keep track of the application deadlines to ensure a smooth registration experience.
