UP Board Scrutiny 2026: Application Window Now Open for Classes 10 and 12

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially launched the online application process for answer sheet scrutiny for the 2026 High School and Intermediate examinations. Students who wish to have their evaluated answer books re-examined can now submit their requests through the official board portal.

Key Dates and Fee Structure

Candidates can submit their scrutiny applications until May 17, 2026. The board has set a fixed fee of ₹500 per subject, with separate charges applicable for written and practical components. Students must ensure they complete the payment process within the stipulated timeframe to have their applications considered.

Mandatory Document Submission Process

After completing the online registration, applicants are required to deposit the scrutiny fee through a generated challan at any government treasury or authorized bank. Once the payment is made, students must print the completed application form and send it along with a copy of the challan to the concerned regional office via registered post. It is important to note that the deadline for receipt of these physical documents is also May 17, 2026. Applications submitted offline or after the cutoff date will be rejected without exception.

Performance Overview of 2026 Board Examinations

The 2026 Class 10 examinations witnessed participation from over 13.43 lakh male students and 12.57 lakh female students. The overall pass percentage for boys stood at 87.30 percent, while girls outperformed with an impressive 93.76 percent success rate — a margin of 6.46 percent higher than their male counterparts. Institutional candidates recorded a pass percentage of 90.51 percent, significantly ahead of individual candidates who achieved 66.67 percent.

For the Intermediate examinations, the total pass percentage was recorded at 80.38 percent. Out of approximately 24.86 lakh students who appeared for the exams, nearly 19.98 lakh were declared successful.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Scrutiny

Students can follow these straightforward steps to complete their scrutiny application:

  • Visit the official UPMSP website to access the application portal.
  • Locate and click on the “Scrutiny Application 2026” link available on the homepage.
  • Enter your roll number, select your class (10th or 12th), and choose the subject(s) for which scrutiny is required.
  • Fill in the application form with accurate personal and academic details.
  • Generate the fee challan for ₹500 per subject and make the payment at a designated bank or treasury.
  • Download and print both the completed application form and the fee challan copy for your records.
  • Dispatch these documents through registered post to the relevant regional office before May 17, 2026.

Students are advised to double-check all information before submitting their applications, as discrepancies may lead to rejection. Keeping copies of all submitted documents is also recommended for future reference. The scrutiny process provides an opportunity for students to have their answer sheets re-evaluated, ensuring transparency and fairness in the examination system.
