Final Chance to Correct Errors in UP Board Certificates and Marksheets
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced a final opportunity for students to rectify any errors found in their high school and intermediate certificates or marksheets. This comes after the board declared the results for the 2026 examinations on 23 April 2026. While multiple correction windows were previously opened, this is being described as the last chance for students to have their academic documents corrected before they are finalized.
Students who discover discrepancies in their names, parents’ names, dates of birth, photographs, or other personal details must act quickly. The correction window will remain open for a limited period, and schools have been directed to follow a specific procedure to ensure all revisions are processed smoothly.
Correction Window and Procedure
The entire correction process will run from 27 April 2026 until 6 May 2026, with submissions accepted until 6:00 PM on the final day. Schools are required to complete all necessary steps within this timeframe, and no requests will be entertained after the deadline.
Principals must fill out the designated correction forms with clear and accurate details of all required changes. These forms must be verified and signed by the principal before being submitted. After this initial step, the correction request must be approved by the District Inspector of Schools. Once approval is granted, the school must log back into the official website and upload the completed form along with all supporting documents and evidence. This entire workflow must be finished within the specified dates.
Details That Can Be Corrected
Students can request corrections to specific fields in their academic records. The board has assigned codes to each type of correction to streamline the process. For high school, the following details can be amended:
- 01: Candidate Name
- 02: Father’s Name
- 05: Date of Birth
- 15: Mother’s Name
- 20: Photograph
For intermediate students, the eligible correction fields are slightly different:
- 06: Candidate Name
- 07: Father’s Name
- 15: Mother’s Name
- 20: Photograph
Documents Required for Corrections
To initiate any correction request, students must submit a set of mandatory documents. The list includes an application form certified by the principal, a certified copy of the admission application form, a certified copy of the transfer certificate, the registration form, the class 10th or 12th nominal roll, and a valid student identity card.
Documents for Date of Birth Correction
Students seeking to correct their date of birth must provide additional documentation to support their request. The required papers include:
- Application form certified by the principal
- Admission application form
- Certified copy of the Student Register
- Copy of the attendance register
- Student identity card
- Registration card for class 9th or 11th
- Affidavit confirming the correct information
- Transfer certificate certified by the District Inspector of Schools and the District Basic Education Officer
Documents for Photograph Correction
For students who need to update their photograph on official records, the following documents must be submitted:
- Application form certified by the principal
- Certified copy of the Student Register
- Student identity card with photograph
Students and parents are advised to carefully review their certificates and marksheets to ensure all details are accurate. Since this is the final correction window, any errors left unaddressed after 6 May 2026 will remain on the official documents permanently. Schools have been instructed to cooperate fully with students and ensure that all valid correction requests are processed within the deadline.
