NEET UG 2026 Admit Card Release Rescheduled

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially revised the release date for the NEET UG 2026 admit cards. Candidates who are preparing for the upcoming medical entrance examination will now be able to download their hall tickets from the official website starting Monday, 27 April 2026, at 10:00 AM. The earlier schedule had indicated a different date, but the agency has confirmed this update through its official communication channels.

Important Pre-Exam Preparation

Before the examination day arrives, candidates are strongly advised to ensure that their Aadhaar biometric information is current and accurate. This step is essential because the verification process at the examination centre relies heavily on biometric matching. If any discrepancy exists in the biometric data, candidates should visit their nearest Aadhaar service centre without delay to have the details corrected. Failing to do so could lead to complications during identity verification at the test venue.

Required Documents on Examination Day

Every candidate appearing for NEET UG 2026 must carry two essential items to the examination centre: a printed copy of the admit card and a valid government-issued photo identification document. It is important to note that the admit card will only be available through online download — it will not be sent by post or courier under any circumstances. Additionally, no duplicate admit cards will be issued at the examination centre, so candidates must keep their downloaded copy safe and refrain from making any alterations or modifications to it.

Examination Structure and Pattern

The NEET UG examination follows a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, where each question presents four options and candidates must select the single correct answer. The paper is divided into three main sections: Physics and Chemistry each contain 45 questions, while the Biology section comprises 90 questions. In total, the examination includes 180 questions carrying a maximum score of 720 marks.
