CISCE Advises Calm and Confidence Ahead of ICSE, ISC Results

With lakhs of students across the country awaiting their board exam outcomes, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has stepped forward with a reassuring message. The board, which conducts the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations, is urging students to remain composed and trust in their efforts. Through a video shared on social media platforms, CISCE is emphasizing that exam scores are not the sole measure of a student’s potential or future success.

Results Expected Shortly

The ICSE and ISC results for 2026 are anticipated to be announced very soon, with reports suggesting that the scores may be released as early as April 30. Once the results are officially declared, students will be able to access their individual scorecards by visiting the designated results portal at results.cisce.org.

This year, the ICSE examinations were conducted over a period spanning from February 17 to March 30. The ISC examinations, on the other hand, commenced on February 12 and concluded on April 6, 2026.

A Message of Positivity and Perspective

In its latest communication, the board has advised students to avoid fixating solely on their marks. CISCE has highlighted that the effort, patience, and the learning journey itself hold immense value. The council is encouraging students to take pride in their hard work and perseverance, reinforcing the idea that success is defined by more than just a final grade or percentage.

The board’s appeal comes at a time when the pressure of results often takes a toll on students’ mental well-being. By promoting a balanced perspective, CISCE aims to help students navigate this period with less anxiety and a healthier mindset.

Steps to Follow After Results Are Announced

Once the results are out, students are advised to carefully review their official mark sheets. It is important to verify all the details printed on the scorecard, including:

  • Student’s full name
  • Roll number and unique identification number
  • School name
  • Subject-wise marks and total marks obtained
  • Overall percentage and grades
  • Pass/fail status

In the event of any discrepancies or errors found on the mark sheet, students should immediately get in touch with the relevant authorities for correction. Prompt action can help resolve issues without unnecessary delay.

Avoid Falling for Rumors

CISCE has also issued a word of caution to both students and parents: rely only on official announcements and verified sources. As result day approaches, misinformation and speculative news often circulate online. The board has made it clear that examination outcomes are merely one chapter in a student’s life, not the entire story. Staying away from unverified claims can help reduce confusion and unnecessary stress during this sensitive time.

Through this thoughtful initiative, CISCE is working to strengthen students’ mental resilience and encourage a forward-looking, optimistic approach. The goal is to help young learners face their results with grace, avoid undue pressure, and move confidently toward the next phase of their academic and personal growth.
