Haryana RTE 2026 Seat Allocation Result Announced
The Department of School Education in Haryana has officially released the Right to Education (RTE) seat allocation results for the academic session 2026-27. This year, a total of 21,752 students have been successfully allocated seats in private schools across the state, spanning from nursery through Class 1.
Parents and guardians can now check the complete allocation list on the official verification portal of the department. The results have been made available for all applicants who participated in the admission process under the RTE Act.
Computerized Lottery System Used for Selection
The entire selection process was carried out through a computerized lottery system, ensuring transparency and fairness in seat distribution. This method was employed for admissions to nursery, LKG, UKG, KG, and Class 1 for the upcoming academic year. Families who applied can easily view their child’s allocation status by entering their application ID on the official portal.
Class-Wise Allocation Breakdown
The allocation data reveals significant variation in seat distribution across different grade levels. Here is a detailed look at how the numbers break down:
- Nursery: Out of 13,308 applicants in the lottery, 10,880 received seats, while 2,428 remained unallocated. With 23,988 proposed seats, the allocation rate stood at 81.8 percent.
- LKG: A total of 4,602 students participated, with only 1,283 securing admission. The remaining 3,319 students did not receive allocations. The allocation rate was 27.9 percent against 1,324 proposed seats.
- UKG: From 4,561 applicants, 1,909 were allocated seats, leaving 2,652 without placement. The allocation rate reached 41.9 percent out of 2,328 proposed seats.
- Class 1: This category saw the highest success rate at 90 percent. Of the 8,538 students in the lottery, 7,680 received admissions, while 858 remained unallocated. There were 32,839 proposed seats available.
Overall Application Statistics
A total of 31,009 students applied for admission under the Haryana RTE scheme this year. Of these, 21,752 students have been successfully assigned seats in various private schools, while 9,257 students have yet to receive any allocation. The overall allocation rate across all classes stands at 70.1 percent.
Preference-Wise Distribution of Allocated Seats
The allocation results also show how students were distributed based on their school preferences. The majority of successful applicants received their first choice:
- First preference: 15,013 students (69 percent) received their top choice
- Second preference: 3,389 students (15.6 percent) were placed in their second option
- Third preference: 1,646 students (7.6 percent) got their third choice
- Fourth preference: 830 students (3.8 percent) were allocated their fourth option
- Fifth preference: 448 students (2.1 percent) received their fifth choice
- Remaining preferences: The rest of the students were distributed among preferences six through thirty-one, with each category accounting for less than one percent of total allocations

It is essential to understand that these results are provisional in nature. The lottery-based allocation has been verified by a designated committee, but final confirmation depends on document verification at the time of admission. Parents must ensure that all submitted documents are authentic and accurate.
