JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Closes Today: Last Chance to Apply
The registration window for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2026 is closing today, May 2, 2026. Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications can still do so by visiting the official portal, jeeadv.ac.in. The application process began on April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Deadline and Key Dates
Aspiring candidates have until 11:59 PM tonight to complete their registration. After submitting the application form, candidates will have until May 4, 2026, to pay the application fee. The admit cards for the examination will be available for download between May 11 and May 17, 2026.
The JEE Advanced 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on May 17. The exam will consist of two papers: Paper 1 will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while Paper 2 will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Exam Administration and Format
This year, the examination is being organized by IIT Roorkee. The test will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates are allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced examination a maximum of two times, in two consecutive years.
Application Fee Structure
The application fee for male candidates belonging to the General and OBC-NCL categories is set at ₹3,200. For female candidates from all categories, as well as candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories, the application fee is ₹1,600. Payment can be made using debit cards, credit cards, or net banking facilities.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must have secured a position among the top 2.5 lakh successful candidates in the JEE Main 2026 examination (BE/BTech paper). Additionally, candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2001. A relaxation of five years in the age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories, including SC, ST, and PwD.
Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 and appeared for their board examinations for the first time in either 2025 or 2026. Students who have already taken admission to any IIT are not eligible to appear for this examination.
Exam Pattern and Structure
JEE Advanced 2026 will feature two compulsory papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper will have a duration of three hours. Questions will be drawn from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages. Candidates from the PwD category will be provided additional time for each paper.
