JAC Class 12 Result 2026: What Students Can Expect Based on Last Year’s Trends
With the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) yet to announce the Class 12 results for 2026, students across the state are eagerly waiting to see how they have performed. While the official date remains unconfirmed, looking back at the 2025 results can give students and parents a fair idea of what to expect. In 2025, the board declared the results for both Science and Commerce streams in the month of May, and the overall performance reflected a mix of steady improvement and notable achievements.
How Did Students Perform in 2025?
In 2025, approximately 3.50 lakh students appeared for the JAC Intermediate examinations. Among them, around 98,000 were enrolled in the Science stream, while close to 22,000 appeared for Commerce. The overall results were considered satisfactory, with a significant number of students clearing the exams successfully.
One of the most striking trends from last year was the consistent outperformance of female students in both streams. In Science, 80.53% of girls cleared the exams, compared to just 48.43% of boys. Similarly, in Commerce, 95% of female candidates passed, while the pass percentage for male students stood at 86%. This gender-wise gap in performance has been a recurring pattern in recent years and highlights the growing academic dominance of girls in board examinations.
Top Performers in Science Stream (2025)
The Science stream saw some impressive individual performances. Ankita Datta topped the list with 477 marks, securing the first rank. She was closely followed by Ankit Kumar Sah, who scored 476 marks. The third position was shared by three students — Kishore Kumar, Jagannath Singh Chaudhary, and Himanshu Kumar — each scoring 474 marks. Four students, including Jia Shrivastava, Muskan Kumari, and Sakshi Gupta, tied at the fourth position with 473 marks, while Atoshi Mishra rounded off the top five with 472 marks.
Top Performers in Commerce Stream (2025)
In Commerce, Reshmi Kumari emerged as the topper with 476 marks. Hasan Sheikh secured the second position with 475 marks, followed by Piyush Shaw in third with 474 marks. Shourya Kumar took the fourth spot with 472 marks, and Muskan Kumari completed the top five with 471 marks. The results once again underscored the competitive spirit among students, with several candidates finishing within a narrow margin of each other.
