PSEB Class 10 Results Announced: Faridkot Student Secures Top Rank

The Punjab School Education Board has officially released the results for the Class 10 examinations. Students who appeared for the tests can now access their scores through the board’s official portal. This year, a student from Faridkot has emerged as the state topper with an impressive performance.

Top Performer Highlights

Harleen Sharma, a student from Jaito in Faridkot district, has secured the first position across Punjab. She achieved an outstanding score of 646 marks out of a possible 650, demonstrating exceptional academic dedication. The board’s chairman officially announced the results during a press conference.

Following closely behind, Manimahesh Sharma from Ropar claimed the second position, while Riya Rani from Gurdaspur secured the third spot. Both students earned 645 marks. Notably, female students have dominated the merit list this year, reflecting their strong academic performance across the state.

Overall Pass Percentage and Statistics

The overall pass percentage for the PSEB Class 10 examinations stands at an impressive 94.52 percent. Breaking down the figures by gender, female students have outperformed their male counterparts with a pass rate of 95.96 percent, compared to 93.23 percent for male students.

From the total of 2,69,505 candidates who appeared for the examinations, 2,54,744 students successfully cleared the tests. Among the 1,27,753 female candidates, 1,22,595 passed, while 1,32,143 out of 1,41,746 male candidates were declared successful.

In a noteworthy achievement, all six transgender candidates who appeared for the examinations passed, achieving a perfect 100 percent pass rate in this category.

Regional and School Category Performance

An interesting trend has emerged when comparing results across different regions. Students from rural areas have demonstrated better performance than their urban counterparts. The pass percentage in rural regions reached 95.35 percent, while urban areas recorded a pass rate of 92.98 percent.

When examining results by school category, private institutions have shown the strongest performance with a 95.97 percent pass rate. Government schools followed with 94.45 percent, while aided schools recorded the lowest pass percentage at 89.68 percent across all three categories.

Examination Overview

A total of 2.84 lakh students registered for the Class 10 examinations conducted by the board this year. The examinations were held over a one-month period, running from March 1 through April 1. The board has made provisions for students facing any difficulties accessing their results to seek assistance through their dedicated support helpline.

Students can follow these simple steps to view and download their results:

  • Visit the official PSEB website
  • Locate and click on the Results section on the homepage
  • Select the option for PSEB Matriculation Result 2026
  • Enter your roll number or name in the designated fields
  • Press the submit button and download your mark sheet

The board has ensured that the entire process is streamlined and user-friendly, allowing students to access their results without unnecessary complications. With the results now officially declared, students can proceed with their academic planning and future educational pursuits.
