Haryana Board Class 10 Results 2026: Girls Continue to Outshine Boys
The Haryana Board of School Education has officially released the Class 10 results for 2026, and the latest figures reveal a continuing trend of academic excellence among female students. Girls have once again outperformed their male counterparts, securing a higher overall pass percentage in this year’s examinations.
Overall Pass Percentages and Key Statistics
According to the official data, the overall pass percentage for regular students stands at an impressive 89.60%. In comparison, students who appeared as private or self-study candidates recorded a pass rate of 70.02%. A total of 2,76,640 regular candidates registered for the examinations, out of which 2,47,860 successfully cleared the tests. Additionally, 6,201 students have been placed in the Essential Repeat category.

Girls Lead with a Stronger Pass Percentage
Breaking down the results by gender, female students have clearly taken the lead. Out of 1,33,530 girls who appeared for the examination, 1,22,367 emerged successful, translating to a pass percentage of 91.64%. Boys, on the other hand, recorded a pass rate of 87.69%, with 1,25,493 out of 1,43,110 candidates clearing the exam. This marks yet another year where female students have maintained their academic edge over male students.

Performance Based on School Type
The results also highlight a noticeable difference in performance between government and private institutions. Private schools have outperformed government schools by a significant margin this year.

Urban vs. Rural Performance
When comparing results across different regions, rural areas have shown a slightly better performance than urban centres. The pass percentage in rural regions was recorded at 90.25%, while urban areas trailed marginally behind at 87.94%.

The board has also released a district-level ranking based on overall performance. Charkhi Dadri has secured the top position this year, followed by Jind in second place and Mahendragarh in third. On the other end of the spectrum, Nuh district has finished at the bottom of the rankings.

Secondary (Fresh) Examination Results
In addition to the main Class 10 results, the board has also published outcomes for the Secondary (Fresh) examination conducted in 2026. The overall pass percentage for this category was recorded at 11.17%. A total of 5,772 candidates appeared for this examination, of which 645 students successfully passed.
A gender-wise breakdown of the Fresh examination reveals that girls once again performed slightly better than boys. Female fresh candidates achieved a pass percentage of 11.36%, while their male counterparts recorded 11.05% — a difference of 0.31 percentage points in favour of girls. Furthermore, candidates from rural areas posted a pass rate of 12.01%, compared to 10.00% for those from urban regions.
The release of these results marks an important milestone for thousands of students across the state. With girls consistently outperforming boys in recent years, the data underscores a positive shift in academic achievement patterns. Students who have cleared the examination can now proceed with their next academic steps, while those placed in the Essential Repeat category will have the opportunity to improve their scores in subsequent attempts.
