CHSE Odisha Declares Class 12 Results: Pass Percentage Rises to 85.85%
The Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has officially released the results for the Class 12 examinations. This year, the overall pass percentage has seen a notable increase, reflecting improved performance among students across the state.
A Year of Improved Performance
According to the state’s School and Mass Education Minister, Nityananda Gond, a total of 4.01 lakh students registered for the annual higher secondary examination in 2026. Of these, 3.98 lakh candidates actually appeared for the tests, and 3.41 lakh successfully cleared them. This translates to an overall pass percentage of 85.85%.
This year’s results mark a significant improvement over the previous year. In 2025, the pass percentage stood at 82.45%, meaning there has been a clear upward trend in student achievement this time around.
Subject-Wise Breakdown of Results
The results varied across different academic streams. Students pursuing Science recorded the highest success rate, followed closely by those in Commerce. The detailed pass percentages for each stream are as follows:
- Science: 88.80%
- Commerce: 88.07%
- Arts: 84.50%
- Vocational: 77.62%
Examination Details and Timeline
The theoretical examinations were conducted from February 18 to March 28 at 1,364 centers across the state. Prior to that, the practical examinations were held between January 2 and January 15. Students who participated in these assessments can now access their individual scorecards online.
How Students Can Access Their Results
Candidates who appeared for the exams can view their results through the official CHSE websites. The scorecards are available for viewing starting from 3:00 PM on the day of the announcement. To check their performance, students are advised to follow a simple process:
- Visit the official result portal for Odisha board examinations.
- Locate and click on the link designated for the annual CHSE examination results.
- Enter the required credentials, including the roll number, registration number, and the captcha code displayed on the screen.
- Submit the information to view the result on the display.
It is recommended that students download and save a copy of their result for future reference, as it may be needed for college admissions and other academic pursuits. With the results now public, students can proceed with their plans for higher education and career development.
