MHT CET 2026 PCM Provisional Answer Key Released

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has officially released the provisional answer key for the MHT CET 2026 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group, covering the first session of the examination. Candidates who appeared for the test can now access their response sheets, question papers, and the preliminary answer key through the official examination portal.

Along with the release of the answer key, the examination authority has opened a dedicated window for candidates to raise objections. Students who believe there may be discrepancies in the published answers are encouraged to submit their challenges within the specified timeframe.

Objection Submission Window and Fee Structure

According to the CET Cell, candidates can file their objections online from 20 May 2026 through 22 May 2026. To submit a challenge, applicants must log in to the official examination website using their credentials. A processing fee of 1,000 rupees per question has been established for each objection raised. Additionally, candidates are required to upload supporting documents that substantiate their claims regarding the disputed answers.

This structured objection process ensures that every candidate has the opportunity to contest any answer they believe has been incorrectly marked in the provisional key.

Examination Schedule and Timeline

The MHT CET 2026 PCM examination was conducted between 11 April and 20 April 2026. With the provisional answer key now available, students can cross-check their responses against the officially published answers. In cases where they identify potential errors, they can formally challenge the key within the designated objection period.

The examination cell has confirmed that all submitted objections and grievances will be thoroughly reviewed by subject matter experts. Following this comprehensive evaluation, the final answer key will be published, serving as the basis for result compilation.

Expected Result Date and Admission Process

Based on current reports, the MHT CET 2026 results are anticipated to be announced in June. Once the results are declared, the centralized admission process (CAP) for engineering colleges across Maharashtra will commence. This streamlined procedure will facilitate seat allocation for aspiring engineering students throughout the state.

Step-by-Step Guide to Raising an Objection

Candidates wishing to challenge any answer in the provisional key should follow these steps:

  • Visit the official MHT CET website and navigate to the homepage
  • Locate and click on the link designated for submitting objections
  • Log in using your application number, date of birth, and the captcha code displayed on screen
  • Select the specific question or questions you wish to challenge
  • Upload the necessary supporting documents to validate your objection
  • Pay the applicable fee of 1,000 rupees per question
  • Submit the form and retain a copy of the confirmation for future reference

Candidates are advised to complete the objection process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical difficulties. It is also recommended to keep all login credentials and transaction details securely stored for tracking purposes.

The release of the provisional answer key marks a significant milestone in the MHT CET 2026 examination cycle. With the objection window now open, candidates have a clear pathway to ensure accuracy and fairness in the evaluation process before final results are announced.
