UP Board Launches Affordable NCERT Books for Classes 9–12 with Free Home Delivery
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), based in Prayagraj, has rolled out a significant initiative for the upcoming academic session of 2026–27. Students enrolled in classes 9 through 12 across the state will now have access to NCERT-based textbooks at budget-friendly prices. This move is designed to ensure that quality learning materials reach every student without unnecessary hassle or financial strain.
Comprehensive Subject Coverage Across All Grades
Under this new scheme, the board has curated subject-specific book sets tailored to different grade levels. For students in classes 9 and 10, the package includes essential subjects such as Hindi, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and Sanskrit. Meanwhile, students advancing to classes 11 and 12 can choose from a broader range of disciplines, including English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, and Home Science. In total, the initiative encompasses around 70 books spanning 36 distinct subjects, offering extensive academic support for intermediate learners.
Streamlined Distribution Through Authorized Partners
To make the procurement process smooth and efficient, the board has appointed three authorized publishers and distributors responsible for different class groups. These partners will handle both printing and distribution, ensuring that books are readily available when needed. Students can begin purchasing their textbooks from February 2026 through multiple channels, including local bookshops, wholesale suppliers, and online platforms.
In a bid to enhance convenience, the board has also established tie-ups with popular e-commerce platforms to facilitate direct online ordering. This means students can have their books delivered straight to their doorstep, eliminating the need to visit physical stores or stand in long queues.
No Extra Delivery Charges
One of the standout features of this initiative is the waiver of additional delivery fees. Whether students choose to order online or buy from local vendors, they will not be burdened with extra shipping costs. This decision reflects the board’s commitment to making education more accessible and affordable for families across Uttar Pradesh, particularly those in remote or underserved areas.
Authorized Printers and Distributors
The board has officially designated the following three entities to manage the printing and supply of textbooks for the 2026–27 session:
- M/s Pioneer, Printers and Publishers, Agra – responsible for classes 9 and 12
- M/s Peetambara Books Private Limited, Bijoli, Jhansi – responsible for class 10
- M/s Singhal Agencies, Lucknow – responsible for class 11
These authorized partners have been selected to maintain consistent quality and timely availability of books throughout the academic year. With this structured approach, the board aims to address previous challenges related to book shortages and accessibility, paving the way for a more organized and student-friendly distribution system.
This initiative marks a progressive step forward in the state’s educational framework, ensuring that students have the resources they need to succeed academically without facing logistical or financial hurdles.
