CBSE Activates Class 12 Re-Evaluation Portal for 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially activated the re-evaluation portal for Class 12 students, marking a significant milestone in the post-result process. The portal went live on June 2, 2026, after students had been eagerly awaiting its launch since the previous day. Many candidates had expressed their concerns on social media platforms when the portal did not open as initially expected on June 1, but the board has now confirmed that the system is fully operational.

This year has seen remarkable engagement from students, with over 400,000 candidates applying to access nearly 1.1 million answer sheets. The board has reported that the portal has been functioning smoothly since 7 AM, with no technical glitches reported during the application window.

Enhanced Security and Simplified Process

In a move to strengthen the integrity of the examination system, CBSE has introduced Aadhaar verification as an additional security layer for the re-evaluation process. The board has been actively addressing student queries through its official communication channels, ensuring transparency throughout the application period.

One of the most notable improvements this year is the consolidated application system. Students can now apply for multiple post-result services through a single application form, eliminating the need to submit separate requests for different services. This streamlined approach saves both time and effort for candidates seeking various types of result-related assistance.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Candidates can complete their re-evaluation application by following these straightforward steps:

  • Navigate to the official post-result portal designated by CBSE
  • Log in using your roll number or registered user ID credentials
  • Enter the required Aadhaar information and click on the sign-in option
  • Select the “Re-evaluation of Marks” option from the dashboard menu
  • Review the list of subjects for which answer sheets are available
  • Provide specific details for each question requiring re-evaluation, including question number, sub-section, page number, marks awarded, expected marks, and the reason for requesting re-evaluation
  • Submit requests for multiple questions if needed
  • Save your entries and proceed to the preview section
  • Carefully verify all information before finalizing
  • Freeze the application and move to the payment gateway
  • Complete the fee payment to finalize your submission
  • Download the application form for your records and track the status through the portal

It is important to note that once an application has been frozen and submitted for payment, no modifications can be made. Students are strongly advised to double-check all details before completing this final step.

Revised Fee Structure for Post-Result Services

CBSE has also announced a revised fee structure, making the re-evaluation process more affordable for students. The updated charges are as follows:

  • Verification fee: Reduced from 500 rupees to 100 rupees per subject
  • Re-evaluation fee: 100 rupees per answer sheet
  • Scrutiny of specific questions: 25 rupees per question

This significant reduction in fees demonstrates the board’s commitment to making the re-evaluation process accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background. The new pricing structure is expected to benefit thousands of candidates who wish to have their answer sheets reviewed.

Important Guidelines for Applicants

The board has issued clear guidance for students preparing to submit their applications. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial during the application process. Students must ensure that all information provided is correct and complete before making the final submission, as the system does not allow any corrections after the payment has been processed.

Given the high volume of applications expected this year, students are encouraged to complete their submissions early within the application window to avoid any last-minute technical issues or server congestion. The board has assured students that the portal is operating at full capacity and is capable of handling the large number of concurrent users.

For those who have questions about the process, CBSE continues to provide support through its official channels, helping students navigate any challenges they might encounter during the application procedure. The board remains committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent re-evaluation process for all Class 12 students.
