CBSE Verification and Re-evaluation Portal Remains Stable Despite Cyberattack Attempts

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that its verification and re-evaluation portal is functioning smoothly and securely, even as it continues to face heavy student traffic and multiple attempted cyberattacks. The board shared this update officially on the social media platform X, reassuring students that the system remains fully operational.

Following feedback from students, CBSE has implemented several key improvements to the portal. Among the most notable changes is an extended session time limit, which gives applicants more time to complete their submissions without being logged out prematurely. These adjustments were made to enhance the overall user experience and reduce frustration during the application process.

Portal Capacity Expanded to Handle Growing Demand

According to the latest update from CBSE, the portal’s infrastructure has been significantly upgraded to accommodate a much higher volume of users. The platform can now support approximately 14,000 concurrent users at any given time, a substantial increase from its previous capacity. This expansion has directly contributed to a sharp rise in successful submissions, with the number of completed applications climbing steadily throughout the day.

As of 9:30 AM this morning, nearly 40,000 students had already successfully completed their application process without encountering any major disruptions. This milestone reflects both the increased server capacity and the technical refinements made to the system in response to earlier concerns.

Four New Payment Gateways Added for Fee Submission

To make the fee payment process more convenient, CBSE has integrated four additional banking gateways into the verification and re-evaluation portal. Students can now choose from payment options provided by State Bank of India (SBI), Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda (BoB), and Indian Bank.

The board has clarified that students are not required to hold accounts with these specific banks to use the gateways. Applicants can complete their fee payments through any bank’s online payment methods, including UPI, net banking, credit cards, or debit cards. This flexibility ensures that students from all banking backgrounds can complete their transactions without unnecessary hurdles.

Application Window Open Until June 6

Students who wish to apply for verification or re-evaluation of their answer sheets have until June 6 to submit their requests. CBSE has emphasized that its technical teams are maintaining round-the-clock monitoring to ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, and easy to navigate for all users.

In its official statement, the board said, “Our teams are continuously monitoring the system to ensure a secure, dependable, and student-friendly platform.” This reassurance comes amid ongoing efforts to safeguard the portal from external threats while maintaining seamless accessibility for legitimate users.

Board Advises Students to Follow Official Guidelines

CBSE has also issued important guidance for students preparing to submit their applications. The board recommends that all applicants carefully review the official instructions before beginning the process. Accuracy is critical, and students must verify that every piece of information entered on the portal is correct and matches their official records.

This includes double-checking personal details, subject information, and any other data required during the application process. Taking these precautions can help avoid unnecessary delays or complications in processing.

Active Support for Students Facing Technical Issues

While some students continue to report technical difficulties on social media, CBSE’s support team is now actively responding to each complaint. Common issues such as login failures, “login request expired” messages, and verification errors are being addressed directly by the board’s representatives.

For students encountering technical problems, CBSE has advised them to send a direct message (DM) to the board’s official handle. The message should include a brief description of the issue, the exact error message displayed on screen, along with the student’s roll number, application ID, and admit card ID. This information allows the relevant department to investigate and resolve the matter promptly.

The board has also reminded students to ensure that all login credentials, including password and admit card ID, are entered exactly as they appear in their official documents. Any discrepancy in these details can lead to authentication failures and prevent successful submission.

With the deadline approaching, CBSE continues to encourage students to complete their applications well before the June 6 cutoff. The extended portal capacity, additional payment options, and active technical support are all part of the board’s broader effort to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for every applicant.
