CGBSE Releases Supplementary Exam Schedule for Classes 10 and 12
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur, has officially released the detailed timetable for the supplementary examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 in 2026. This provides another opportunity for students who did not pass their main exams or wish to improve their scores. These supplementary exams, also referred to as the second main or opportunity exams, will be conducted in a single shift each day.
The complete schedule is now available for students to review. All examinations will take place in one shift, with a fixed timing from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
Class 12 Supplementary Exams Begin July 8
The Higher Secondary (Class 12) supplementary examinations are scheduled to run from July 8, 2026, to July 22, 2026. The first paper will be for the Hindi subject, followed by other subjects on their designated dates.
Key dates for the Class 12 exams include English on July 10, Sanskrit on July 11, Geography and Physics on July 15, and Political Science, Chemistry, and Accountancy on July 17. The Mathematics exam is slated for July 21, while the final day, July 22, will feature Biology, Economics, Computer Applications, Music, Dance, and other subjects.

Class 10 Supplementary Exams Start July 9
The High School (Class 10) supplementary examinations will commence on July 9 and continue until July 21, 2026. The exam series will begin with the Mathematics paper.
Following the initial exam, the schedule includes First Language Hindi on July 11, Second Language English on July 14, Science on July 16, and Social Science on July 18. On July 20, exams for Third Language subjects such as Sanskrit, Marathi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, and Tamil will be held. The final day, July 21, is reserved for Music and Drawing/Painting.

Exam Day Timings and Procedures
The board has also outlined the specific schedule for examination day procedures. Students must be seated in their examination halls by 9:00 AM. Answer booklets will be distributed at 9:05 AM, followed by question papers at 9:10 AM, which students will have time to read. Writing time will begin at 9:15 AM and continue until the exam concludes at 12:15 PM.

Exams May Proceed on Holidays
In an important clarification, the CGBSE has stated that if any local or public holiday falls during the examination period, the exams will still be conducted as per the pre-announced schedule. No postponement will occur due to holidays.
Additionally, the board has confirmed that practical and project examinations for private candidates will be organized by the respective examination centers. These practical exams may also be conducted on holidays if necessary. Students are advised to stay in contact with their center superintendents for information regarding practical exam dates and any related instructions.
Potential Changes Under Exceptional Circumstances
The board has reserved the right to modify the examination schedule or timings in the event of an emergency or any special circumstance. Students are therefore strongly advised to regularly check the official CGBSE website for any updates or announcements regarding the examination schedule.
