ICAI Declares CA Final May 2026 Results

The wait is finally over for aspiring Chartered Accountants across the nation. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the results for the CA Final examination held in May 2026. Candidates who appeared for the test can now access their individual scorecards through the official results portal of the institute.

How to Check Your Scorecard

Students who sat for the examination can easily view and download their results by following a simple online process. To access the scorecard, candidates are required to enter their registration number along with their roll number on the designated result page. Once the details are submitted, the outcome will be displayed instantly. It is advisable for successful candidates to download the scorecard and keep a printed copy for future reference and documentation purposes.

Top Rank Holders in CA Final May 2026

Along with the results, ICAI has also published the much-anticipated merit list. This year, a candidate from Punjab has clinched the coveted All India Rank 1. The top three positions have been secured by students from different parts of the country, showcasing a diverse spread of talent.

All India Rank 1

Noor Singla, hailing from Patiala, has emerged as the national topper. She has achieved an impressive total of 499 marks, translating to a percentage of 83.17%.

All India Rank 2

The second position has been secured by Ritij Sarraf from Howrah. He has scored a total of 475 marks, which equates to a percentage of 79.17%.

All India Rank 3

Sohan Anil Manjarekar from Dombivli (East) has secured the third spot in the national rankings. He has obtained 473 marks, achieving a percentage of 78.83%.

Performance Overview from the January 2026 Session

The pass percentage in the previous session for the CA Intermediate exams was relatively modest. In Group 1, out of the 1,05,526 candidates who appeared, only 14,733 managed to clear the examination, resulting in a pass rate of 13.96%. For Group 2, the numbers were slightly better; out of 69,477 examinees, 10,798 were successful, marking a pass percentage of 15.54%. Furthermore, for candidates who attempted both groups simultaneously, only 3,924 out of 41,798 cleared the exams, recording a combined pass percentage of 9.39%.

Qualifying Criteria for the Examination

To be deemed successful in the CA Final examination, candidates must meet two essential conditions. Firstly, they are required to secure a minimum of 40% marks in each individual paper. Secondly, they must achieve an aggregate score of at least 50% across all papers combined. Only those who satisfy both these stipulations are considered to have passed the examination.

For candidates looking to check their results, the process is straightforward and can be completed in a few minutes. The following steps outline the procedure to access the scorecard:

  • Navigate to the official result portal of ICAI.
  • Locate and click on the link labeled “CA Final May 2026 Result” on the homepage.
  • Enter the required credentials, including your registration number and roll number.
  • Click on the submit button to proceed.
  • Your result and detailed scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
  • Ensure you download the scorecard and take a printout for your records.
