AIIMS BSc Nursing Result 2026 Released: Merit List and Category-Wise Cut-Offs Now Available
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has officially announced the results for the BSc Nursing entrance examination 2026. Candidates who appeared for the test can now access the merit list and download their individual scorecards to check their ranks and qualifying status. Those who have cleared the exam will be eligible to move forward in the counselling and seat allocation process.
How to Check the Result
The results have been published in two distinct formats to cater to different needs. The merit list is available as a downloadable PDF file, which includes the roll numbers and corresponding ranks of successful candidates. Meanwhile, individual scorecards can be accessed by logging into the official AIIMS portal. Applicants are advised to visit the institute’s official website and navigate to the examination section to view their results.

Examination and Normalisation Process
The BSc Nursing entrance test was conducted on 27 June 2026 in two shifts. To ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates, a standard normalisation procedure was applied to account for any variation in difficulty levels between the two shifts. Additionally, tie-breaking rules were implemented to determine the ranks of candidates who secured identical scores, as per the prescribed guidelines.
What Happens If Your Name Is Not on the Merit List?
Candidates who do not find their names on the merit list still have avenues to explore. They can log in to the official website to view their individual rank and obtained marks. The rank and score details will be accessible under the ‘Academic’ tab on the AIIMS Exams portal.
Verification of Reservation Certificates
Candidates who have applied under the OBC (NCL) and EWS categories will undergo a thorough verification of their supporting documents. If an applicant is found ineligible for the reserved category they applied under, their candidature will be reconsidered under the General (UR) category, provided their rank falls within the UR cut-off range. If the rank does not meet the UR threshold, the candidate will not be eligible for seat allocation.
Document Scrutiny and Validity
All reservation-related documents will be carefully scrutinised at various stages of the admission process. If any certificate or document is discovered to be false, invalid, or non-compliant with the regulations, the candidate’s application may be cancelled without prior notice. It is essential to ensure that all submitted documents are authentic and up to date.
Choice Filling and Seat Allocation
Choice filling for seat allocation will be permitted only once. The preferences submitted during the first round will remain valid for all subsequent rounds of counselling. However, different rules may apply for open or spot rounds. Candidates are strongly advised to fill in their choices carefully, as modifications may not be permitted later. Detailed instructions regarding the counselling schedule and seat allotment process will be released in due course.
The institute has urged all candidates to regularly check the official website for updates and announcements related to the counselling process. Those who have qualified can begin preparing the necessary documents for the next stage of admission.
