AIIMS NORCET 10 Registration Now Open: Apply for Nursing Officer Posts by March 16
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has officially released the detailed notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test, known as NORCET-10. The online application window opened on February 24, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications until March 16, 2026, through the official website. This recruitment drive aims to fill thousands of Nursing Officer positions across various AIIMS institutions and other participating healthcare facilities in the country.
The selection process for NORCET-10 will be conducted in two distinct stages. The first stage consists of a preliminary examination, followed by the main examination for those who qualify. Both examinations are scheduled to take place in April 2026, giving candidates ample time to prepare.

Salary and Pay Scale
Selected candidates for the Nursing Officer positions will be placed at Level-07 of the pay matrix. The salary structure follows the pre-revised pay band-2 (₹9,300–₹34,800) along with a grade pay of ₹4,600, falling under Group-B classification. These vacancies are available at AIIMS New Delhi as well as other AIIMS institutions across the country. It is important to note that applications will only be accepted through the online mode.

Educational Qualification Requirements
Candidates must fulfill one of the following educational criteria to be eligible for the NORCET-10 examination:
Option 1:
- A B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing degree from an institution or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or the State Nursing Council.
- Mandatory registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council.
Option 2:
- A B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from an institution or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or the State Nursing Council.
- Mandatory registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council.
Option 3:
- A diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an institution, board, or council recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or the State Nursing Council.
- Mandatory registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the State or Indian Nursing Council.
- A minimum of two years of work experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds. This experience must be gained after completing the aforementioned educational qualification and will apply to all participating AIIMS institutions.
Age Limit and Relaxation
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of the application deadline, which is March 16, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the prevailing government norms and regulations.
Application Fee Structure
The application fee varies based on the candidate’s category:
- General/OBC category: ₹3,000
- SC/ST/EWS category: ₹2,400
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Completely exempted from fee payment
Payment can be made using debit cards, credit cards, or net banking facilities.
