Bihar Board Releases Admit Cards for Matric Special and Compartmental Exams 2026
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the admit cards for the Secondary Special Examination 2026 and the Secondary Compartmental Examination 2026. Schools can now download these hall tickets from the official board portals, with the download window remaining open until May 6, 2026. Students are advised to collect their admit cards from their respective schools before the examination period begins.
Examination Schedule
The board has structured the examination process in two distinct phases to accommodate both practical and theoretical assessments. The practical examinations and internal assessments are scheduled to take place on April 29 and April 30, 2026. Following this, the theory examinations will be conducted from May 2 through May 6, 2026.
All candidates must appear at their designated examination centers as mentioned on their admit cards and adhere strictly to the timing specified for each paper. It is essential for students to verify their exam center details well in advance to avoid any last-minute confusion.
Guidelines for Schools
The board has issued clear directives to all school principals regarding the distribution process. Schools are required to download the admit cards from the official website, carefully verify all student details for accuracy, and then affix the necessary signatures and official seals before distributing them to students. Additionally, schools must maintain a proper record of the distribution for future reference.
Students are strongly encouraged to collect their admit cards from their schools at the earliest opportunity rather than waiting until closer to the examination dates. Delaying this process could lead to unnecessary stress and complications.
Eligibility Criteria
Only those students who have been declared eligible through the ‘sent-up’ process by their respective schools will be permitted to appear for the examinations. It is important to note that candidates whose registrations have been cancelled will not be allowed to sit for the exams under any circumstances. Students should confirm their eligibility status with their schools before the examination period begins.
Compartmental Exam Details
The compartmental examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 will be conducted during May 2026. Class 10 examinations will run from May 2 to May 6, while Class 12 examinations are scheduled for a slightly longer duration, spanning from May 2 to May 11, 2026. This staggered schedule allows the board to manage the examination process efficiently across both grade levels.
Special Provisions for Visually Impaired Students
In an inclusive move, the board has made special arrangements for visually impaired candidates appearing in these examinations. These students will have alternative subjects in place of the standard papers. On May 4, instead of the science paper, they will be examined in music. Similarly, on May 5, home science will replace the mathematics paper for these candidates. All such examinations will be conducted according to the previous syllabus to ensure consistency and fairness for all students involved.
Candidates are reminded to carry their admit cards to the examination center on all days of the examination and follow all instructions issued by the board and their respective examination centers.
