CBSE Class 12 Answer Book Portal Now Fully Operational
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a significant update regarding its online portal designed for students seeking scanned copies of their Class 12 answer sheets. According to the board, the portal is now functioning smoothly, and students are successfully submitting their requests without any interruptions.
Over 1.27 Lakh Applications Received Within Three Hours
In an announcement shared on the social media platform X, CBSE revealed that as of 7:30 PM on May 20, 2026, a total of 1,27,146 applications had been successfully filed within just three hours of the portal going live. Through these submissions, students have collectively requested access to 3,87,399 scanned answer booklets. The board has urged all candidates to complete their application process exclusively through the official link to ensure smooth processing.
Technical Glitches Acknowledged and Resolved
CBSE has openly acknowledged that some students encountered technical difficulties shortly after the portal was launched, primarily due to an unexpected surge in traffic. Several users had reported delays in payment status updates during that initial period. However, the board has now clarified that the system is operating normally and advised students to refrain from submitting duplicate applications or making repeated payments, as this could lead to further complications.
Board Expresses Gratitude and Reaffirms Commitment
The education board has also extended its thanks to students, parents, and schools for their patience and cooperation during this time. CBSE reiterated its ongoing commitment to making the post-verification process more transparent and student-friendly. Efforts are continuously being made to enhance the overall experience for candidates navigating the system.
Revised Fee Structure for Scanned Answer Sheets
It is worth noting that following the recent announcement of Class 12 results, a large number of students had begun applying to obtain scanned copies of their answer books. Earlier, the board was compelled to extend the application deadline due to persistent technical issues. In a move to ease the financial burden on students, CBSE has also significantly reduced the fee for this service. Candidates can now obtain a scanned copy of their answer sheet for just 100 rupees, a substantial reduction from the previous fee of 700 rupees.
Key Points for Students
- Use only the official CBSE portal link to submit applications.
- Avoid making multiple submissions or duplicate payments.
- Check payment status after a reasonable delay before contacting support.
- Keep the application reference number saved for future correspondence.
The restoration of the portal comes as a relief for thousands of students eager to review their evaluated answer sheets. With the reduced fee and a now-stable platform, CBSE aims to streamline the process and ensure that all eligible candidates can access their documents without unnecessary hassle.
