CBSE Class 10 Results Announced: Overall Pass Percentage Reaches 93.70%

The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially released the much-awaited Class 10 board examination results. Students who appeared for the exams can now access their scorecards through the official board websites. The announcement brings an end to the anxious wait for millions of young learners across the country and abroad.

This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 93.70%, reflecting a slight improvement compared to the previous academic session. The results also highlight a continuing trend of female students outperforming their male counterparts. While 92.69% of boys successfully cleared the examinations, the pass rate among girls reached an impressive 94.99%.

How Students Can Access Their Results

Students are advised to visit the official CBSE result portals using their roll numbers to view their scorecards. The online mark sheets issued by the board are provisional in nature. While students may download these documents for reference, they should note that these digital copies are not considered official certificates.

In addition to the primary result websites, students can also access their scores through alternative digital platforms, including DigiLocker and the UMANG mobile application, offering greater convenience and accessibility for all.

Key Highlights from the Board’s Official Statement

The CBSE examination controller addressed the media following the result declaration, sharing valuable insights into this year’s examination process. He expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the new education policy framework, which introduced two board examination sessions. The board successfully declared results for Class 10 students from schools across India as well as affiliated institutions located in 26 other countries, all within a month of the examinations concluding.

A total of 24,83,000 students registered for the examinations this year. The controller also noted that the slight improvement in pass percentage reflects the positive impact of the revised examination structure. He further acknowledged that, consistent with previous years, female students have demonstrated superior academic performance.

Opportunities for Score Improvement

The board has made arrangements for students who wish to enhance their performance. The second session examination, scheduled to take place between May 15 and June 1, 2026, will provide an opportunity for students to improve their scores in up to three subjects. This initiative aligns with the board’s commitment to providing multiple assessment opportunities under the revised educational framework.

Additionally, approximately 14.7 lakh candidates have been placed in the compartment category. These students will have the chance to appear for supplementary examinations to clear their pending subjects.

List of Candidates Process for Second Examination

Schools will need to complete the List of Candidates process for the second board examination starting April 16, 2026. The submission window will remain open for only five days, placing significant responsibility on school administrations to complete all necessary procedures within this brief period.

Under the new examination management system introduced this year, schools have been entrusted with the complete responsibility for the LOC process. Principals and designated staff members are required to verify student eligibility for the second examination, accurately record subject information for improvement and compartment candidates, validate all student data, and ensure timely submission of information on the CBSE portal.

Distribution of High Scores

This year’s results include some remarkable individual achievements. According to board statistics, more than 22 lakh students succeeded in securing above 90% marks in their examinations. Furthermore, over 55,000 students achieved the exceptional milestone of scoring above 95%, demonstrating the high level of academic excellence present among this year’s candidates.

The release of these results marks an important milestone for the approximately 24.83 lakh students who appeared for the examinations. With the provision for improvement examinations and the upcoming second session, students have multiple pathways to achieve their academic goals. The board’s commitment to timely result declaration and its comprehensive support system ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed in their educational journey.
