CBSE Revaluation Portal Glitches Spark Concern Among Students

Following the Class 12 board examinations in 2026, students and parents are growing increasingly anxious over issues surrounding the revaluation and scanned answer sheet processes. Numerous screenshots circulating on social media claim to show wildly inconsistent and unexpectedly high fees for accessing scanned copies of answer booklets and applying for revaluation. While some images display amounts as modest as ₹69 or ₹69.67, others appear to show charges reaching ₹8,000 or even ₹69,000, leaving many candidates bewildered.

Rumors of Hacking Add to Confusion

The viral nature of these screenshots has fueled widespread confusion. Many users have taken to social media to question why the official portal would display such varied fee structures. Some have even speculated that the board’s website may have been compromised. However, no official confirmation regarding any security breach has been issued by the board so far.

Technical Difficulties Since May 19

Students report that technical issues have plagued the portal since the application window for scanned copies opened on May 19. A significant number of candidates have complained that their payments were processed successfully, yet their applications remained incomplete. Others have encountered repeated website crashes, with the platform failing to progress beyond the “Preview & Confirmation” page. These persistent glitches have made the application process frustrating and time-consuming for many.

Poor Quality Scanned Answer Sheets Add to Frustration

Amidst the technical turmoil, students have also raised concerns about the quality of the scanned answer sheets provided. Many claim the copies they received were so blurry that reading the handwriting and verifying the awarded marks became extremely difficult. This has sparked renewed debate on social media regarding the reliability and effectiveness of the on-screen marking (OSM) system used by the board.

Official Response from the Board

In response to the escalating concerns, the board has released an official statement aimed at reassuring students and parents. The communication emphasizes that there is no need for panic. The board has assured that all genuine complaints related to scanned copies, evaluation, or revaluation will be thoroughly reviewed by subject matter experts following established procedures.

Acknowledging the root cause of the problem, the board admitted that the portal experienced heavy traffic due to the high volume of applications submitted in a short period. This surge in activity led to the technical glitches observed. The statement further confirms that continuous corrective measures are being implemented to strengthen the system and resolve these issues promptly.

Application Deadline Extended

In a move to alleviate pressure on students, the board has extended the last date for submitting applications for scanned answer sheets to May 24, 2026. The board has given its assurance that no student will face a disadvantage as a result of these technical difficulties. Students have been advised to rely solely on the official website and verified information sources for updates and to avoid falling prey to rumors circulating online.
