CGBSE Class 10 and 12 Results Announced: Pass Percentages and Toppers
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has officially released the results for both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. Students who appeared for the board exams this year can now access and download their scorecards through the official board portal and the DigiLocker platform. To view their results, candidates will need their roll number handy, as it is required to retrieve the online marksheet.
This year, the Class 10 annual examinations were conducted from February 21 to March 13, 2026. Meanwhile, the Class 12 exams took place between February 20 and March 18, 2026.
Overall Pass Percentages: Girls Outperform Boys
The overall performance in this year’s board exams shows a clear trend of female students outperforming their male counterparts. In the Class 10 results, the total pass percentage stands at 77.15%, which marks a notable improvement of 5 percentage points compared to the previous year. Breaking down the figures, girls achieved a pass rate of 81%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 72%.
For the Class 12 examinations, the overall pass percentage is higher at 83.04%. Here too, female students have excelled, with a pass rate of 86.4%, whereas male students achieved a pass percentage of 78.8%.

Record-Breaking Early Announcement
One of the most significant aspects of this year’s result declaration is the timing. The board has broken a nine-year trend by releasing the results in April. In previous years, the outcomes were typically announced during May or June. This year, however, students have received their results much earlier than expected, marking a welcome change in the examination schedule.
Class 10 Toppers: Three-Way Tie for the Top Spot
The Class 10 merit list features a three-way tie for the first position. Sandhya Nayak, Pari Rani Pradhan, and Anshul Sharma have each secured an impressive 594 marks out of 600, translating to a remarkable 99.00% score.
The second position is shared by five students, all of whom have achieved 593 marks (98.83%). These include Riya Keshwani, Ranu Siddhmayi Sahu, Renuka Pradhan, Deepanshi Baudh, and Nandita Devgan. In total, eight students have secured a place on the merit list, with a significant majority being female candidates.

Class 12 Toppers: Jigyasu Verma Leads the Pack
In the Class 12 examinations, Jigyasu Verma has emerged as the topper with an outstanding 98.60% score, securing 493 marks. Omni follows closely in second place with 98.20% (491 marks). The third position is held by Krash Mahant, who achieved 97.80% (489 marks).
The fourth position is shared by three students — Riya Sahu, Shahnaaz Parveen, and Tahir Khan — each scoring 488 marks (97.60%). The fifth rank is shared by four candidates: Kusumlata Bipre, Hemlata Sahu, Omkar Kaivrat, and Asha Yadav, all of whom have secured 487 marks (97.40%).

Examination Statistics: Over 5.6 Lakh Students Appeared
A total of 5,66,320 students registered and appeared for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations this year. The Class 10 exams saw participation from 3,20,535 students, while the Class 12 exams were attended by 2,45,785 candidates.
Passing Criteria and Minimum Marks
To successfully clear the board examinations, students are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each individual subject, as well as in the aggregate. Those who fail to meet this minimum threshold in any subject will be declared unsuccessful in the examinations.

Students can follow these simple steps to access their results:
- Visit the official CGBSE website or the designated results portal.
- Look for the result link on the homepage and click on it.
- Select your respective class — either Class 10 or Class 12.
- Enter your roll number and other required details carefully.
- Submit the information to view your result on the screen.
- Download and print the scorecard for future reference.
The results are also available through the DigiLocker platform, providing students with an additional convenient method to access their scorecards digitally. It is advisable for students to save multiple copies of their results and keep them safe for admission and documentation purposes.
