Sacred Treasury of Shri Sanwalia Seth Temple Yields Over 11 Crore in First Counting Phase

The renowned Shri Sanwalia Seth Temple in Chittorgarh, a major spiritual destination for devotees worldwide, began the formal counting of its donation offerings on Thursday. The process was initiated on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi, following the Rajbhog Aarti of the deity. The treasury was opened under strict protocols, marking the start of a meticulously organized counting procedure.

First Phase Reveals Substantial Cash Amount

During the initial phase of counting, officials recorded a total of 11 crore 11 lakh rupees in cash. This figure represents only the first stage of the overall assessment. According to the temple board, the remaining monetary contributions will be tallied in a second phase, scheduled after the fair that takes place on the Friday of Amavasya (the new moon).

Counting Conducted Under Tight Security and Official Supervision

The entire counting operation was carried out under stringent security measures. A team of senior officials and administrators oversaw the process to ensure complete transparency. Among those present were the Additional District Collector of Chittorgarh, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the temple board, the board chairman, board members, the Naib Tehsildar, administrative officers, the accountant, the property and cow shelter in-charge, and the security head. Employees from local regional banks also participated in the counting procedure.

Second Phase to Include Remaining Cash and Precious Metals

The temple board has confirmed that the second phase of counting, set for Friday, will address the remaining cash recovered from the treasury. Additionally, this stage will involve weighing the gold and silver items that were found within the donation boxes.

Office Donations and Metal Valuation Still Pending

Beyond the main treasury, the counting of cash and money orders received at the temple board’s donation office remains incomplete. Furthermore, the gold and silver offered as gifts by devotees still need to be weighed and evaluated. These tasks will be completed in accordance with the established procedures in the coming days.

Key Details of the Counting Process

  • First Phase Result: 11 crore 11 lakh rupees in cash counted.
  • Second Phase: Scheduled after the Amavasya fair to count remaining cash.
  • Metal Valuation: Gold and silver from the treasury to be weighed in a subsequent stage.
  • Office Accounting: Cash and money orders from the donation office still pending.
  • Security: Full surveillance and multi-tiered official oversight maintained throughout.
