CUET PG 2026 Exam Dates Announced: Over 4.11 Lakh Candidates Registered
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially unveiled the schedule for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes (CUET PG) 2026. The examination is set to be conducted between March 6 and March 27, 2026, entirely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Examination Structure and Timelines
The entrance test will be organised across 44 shifts, with two to three sessions scheduled per day. A total of 157 subjects are covered under this year’s examination framework. The opening day will feature papers for disciplines such as Yoga, Sports Science, Sanskrit, Urdu, and Textile Design. Key Dates for the Examination
The registration window for CUET PG 2026 remained open from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026. Following this, a correction window was provided from January 28 to January 30, allowing applicants to make necessary modifications to their submitted forms.
The examination will take place on the following dates in March 2026: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 27. Each paper will last 90 minutes, conducted across 44 shifts with 2-3 sessions daily.
Registration Numbers and Subject Selection
This year, a substantial total of 4,11,366 candidates have registered for the 157 subjects on offer. As per the established norms from previous years, applicants were permitted to choose a maximum of four examination papers or subjects during the application process.
Question Paper Medium and Language Details
Most question papers for CUET PG 2026 will be available in a bilingual format, offering questions in both Hindi and English. However, certain categories of papers follow different language arrangements:
- 41 language-specific papers will be conducted entirely in their respective languages
- M.Tech and advanced science papers will be available exclusively in English
- Acharya course papers will be conducted in Sanskrit
- Indian Knowledge Systems and Buddhist Philosophy papers will be trilingual, covering Hindi, Sanskrit, and English
- Hindu Studies papers will be provided in both Hindi and English
City Intimation Slip Release
Candidates can expect the examination city intimation slip to be published on the official NTA website approximately ten days before the commencement of the exam. This slip will inform candidates about the city where their examination centre is located, allowing them sufficient time to plan their travel and logistics accordingly.
With the schedule now firmly in place, aspirants are advised to focus on their preparation and regularly monitor the official portal for any further updates or announcements regarding admit cards and other important instructions.
