NTA Opens Final Window for CUET UG 2026 Photo Corrections

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a crucial update regarding the photo verification process for CUET UG 2026 applicants. As of April 11, the photo verification certificate module has been activated on the official portal, giving candidates with photo discrepancies a final opportunity to rectify their submissions. The deadline for making these corrections is set for April 14, and submissions received after this date will not be considered under any circumstances.

Who Needs to Use This Facility?

This correction window has been introduced specifically for candidates who fall into the following categories:

  • Applicants who do not possess an Aadhaar card
  • DigiLocker users whose uploaded photographs have been flagged due to mismatches

The primary objective behind this initiative is to ensure proper identity verification for all test-takers, thereby preventing complications during the examination and subsequent admission procedures.

Required Steps for Candidates

According to the guidelines issued by the NTA, candidates who have identified errors in their submitted photographs must take the following actions:

  • Visit the official CUET portal and access the photo verification section
  • Upload an attested photo verification certificate in the prescribed format
  • Ensure that the certificate is properly verified and meets all specified requirements
  • Submit the document and await approval from the NTA

Officials have emphasized that the uploaded certificate must strictly adhere to the designated format. Once submitted, the NTA will review each document before granting final approval. Candidates are strongly advised to complete this process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute complications.

Step-by-Step Upload Process

To assist candidates in navigating this process smoothly, the following step-by-step guide has been provided:

  • Navigate to the official CUET UG website
  • Locate and click on the photo verification or correction link
  • Access the document upload option from the available menu
  • Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in the official notification to reach the relevant page directly
  • Upload the attested photo verification certificate
  • Submit the document and monitor the status until the NTA grants approval

The NTA has also communicated through social media channels that candidates facing photo mismatch issues should not panic, as adequate time has been provided to resolve the matter. Test-takers are encouraged to upload their verified certificates with recent attested photographs before the cutoff date and carry the same documentation on examination day.

CUET UG 2026 Examination Structure

The CUET UG 2026 examination will be conducted for a total of 250 marks, organized into three distinct sections. The marking scheme includes:

  • Five marks awarded for every correct response
  • One mark deducted for each incorrect answer

In terms of language accessibility, the examination will be offered in thirteen different languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Punjabi. This multilingual approach ensures that candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds can participate in the examination without language barriers.

Candidates are urged to remain vigilant, follow the official procedures meticulously, and complete all necessary corrections before the April 14 deadline. Delaying this process could result in unnecessary complications that might affect their eligibility for the examination.
