HP TET 2025 Results Announced: Over 8,400 Candidates Clear the Exam

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) has officially released the results for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards through the official board website using their roll number or application ID.

Pass Percentage and Candidate Statistics

According to the data released by the board, a total of 36,571 candidates registered for the HP TET 2025 across all subjects. Out of these, 33,083 candidates actually appeared for the examination, while 3,488 remained absent. The results show that 8,459 candidates successfully cleared the test, achieving an overall pass percentage of 25.6 percent. Unfortunately, 24,622 candidates did not qualify this year.

Subject-Wise Performance Breakdown

The examination was conducted for multiple teaching subjects, and the performance varied significantly across categories. Here is a detailed look at how candidates fared in each subject:

  • Punjabi: 56 candidates appeared, with only 3 passing (5.4% success rate)
  • Urdu: 9 candidates appeared, with 2 qualifying (22.2% success rate)
  • TGT (Arts): 10,858 candidates appeared, with 1,429 passing (13.2% success rate)
  • TGT (Medical): 4,309 candidates appeared, with 1,743 passing (40.5% success rate)
  • JBT: 7,574 candidates appeared, with 2,506 passing (33.1% success rate)
  • TGT (Sanskrit): 1,541 candidates appeared, with 427 passing (27.7% success rate)
  • TGT (Non-Medical): 5,778 candidates appeared, with 741 passing (12.8% success rate)
  • TGT (Hindi): 2,187 candidates appeared, with 907 passing (41.5% success rate)
  • SPL (Primary to V): 621 candidates appeared, with 557 passing (89.7% success rate)
  • SPL (VI to XII): 150 candidates appeared, with 144 passing (96.0% success rate)

Examination Schedule Overview

The HP TET 2025 was conducted over several days in November, with different subjects scheduled on separate dates. The examination commenced on November 2, 2025, with the Punjabi and Urdu papers. This was followed by the TGT (Arts) and TGT (Medical) examinations on November 5, 2025.

On November 8, 2025, candidates appeared for the JBT and TGT (Sanskrit) papers, while November 9, 2025, was designated for TGT (Non-Medical) and TGT (Hindi). The final round of examinations took place on November 16, 2025, covering the SPL (Primary to V) and SPL (VI to XII) subjects.

Steps to Check the HP TET Result

Candidates who appeared for the examination can follow these simple steps to view and download their results:

  • Visit the official HPBOSE website
  • Locate and click on the HP TET Result 2025 link on the homepage
  • Enter the required credentials, such as roll number or application number
  • Submit the details to view the result on screen
  • Download and print the scorecard for future reference

The board has advised all successful candidates to keep their result documents safe, as they will be required during the certificate verification process and subsequent recruitment stages. Those who did not clear the examination can appear again in the next cycle when the board announces fresh dates for the HP TET.
