Girl Students Dominate HPBOSE Class 12 Results Across All Streams
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has officially released the Class 12 results for 2026, along with the much-anticipated merit list. This year’s outcome once again highlights the outstanding performance of female students, who have secured a commanding presence in the top ranks across the Science, Arts, and Commerce streams. In fact, 14 out of the top three positions across all faculties have been claimed by girls, underscoring their continued academic excellence.
Overall Toppers in Science, Arts, and Commerce
When looking at the overall results for each stream, the competition was intense, with students from multiple districts vying for the top spots. In the Science stream, Shayla Kashyap emerged as the topper with an impressive 495 marks (99%). The Arts stream saw Anshit Kumar take the lead with 496 marks (99.2%). Meanwhile, the Commerce stream witnessed a three-way tie for the first position, with Yashaswani Chauhan, Krishika, and Ayan all securing 491 marks (98.2%).
Commerce Stream Toppers 2026: A Strong Showing by Girls
The Commerce stream proved to be a particularly strong area for female students, with eight girls featuring in the top three ranks. The first position was shared by three students – Yashaswani Chauhan and Krishika from Una, along with Ayan from Kangra – each scoring 491 marks (98.2%). Following closely behind, Anjali and Muskaan from Kangra and Jahnavi from Solan secured the second position with 489 marks (97.8%). The third rank was claimed by Akshima Pathania from Kangra, Muskaan Thakur from Una, and Riddhima from Kangra, all achieving 488 marks (97.6%).

In the Science stream, Shayla Kashyap from Kangra took the top honour with an outstanding 495 marks (99%). The second position was shared by Sanchita Dhiman from Una and Kashi Sharma from Hamirpur, both scoring 493 marks (98.6%). The third rank went to Tamanna Sharma from Solan and Nitin Kumar from Kangra, who each achieved 492 marks (98.4%). Notably, four of the five students in the top three positions are girls, further cementing their dominance in this stream as well.

The Arts stream saw an almost complete clean sweep by female students. Anshit Kumar from Kangra secured the first position with an excellent 496 marks (99.2%). Aarshi from Sirmaur took the second spot with 495 marks (99%), while Shyamya Badjatya from Kangra finished third with 494 marks (98.8%). Students from the Kangra and Sirmaur districts displayed exceptional performance in this stream, with the top three ranks featuring two girls and one boy.
