IIT Delhi Placement Season 2025 Surpasses Expectations
The ongoing campus placement drive at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has delivered outstanding results, with students securing a remarkable 1,275 job offers by the end of December 2025. This impressive tally includes more than 300 pre-placement offers (PPOs), highlighting the strong confidence that leading corporations have in the institute’s talent pool.
According to official figures released by the institute, over 1,140 individual students have already received job offers during this placement cycle. The recruitment drive remains active, with the placement season expected to continue well into 2026, creating further opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Significant Rise in Pre-Placement Offers
One of the standout highlights of this year’s placement season has been the substantial growth in pre-placement offers. The number of PPOs extended to students has surged by more than 33 percent compared to the previous year. This remarkable increase underscores the growing trust and demand that industry leaders place in IIT Delhi graduates. This placement season has also witnessed a growing global interest in IIT Delhi graduates. More than 35 international job offers have been extended to students by companies based in Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. This international recognition reinforces the institute’s reputation as a hub for producing world-class engineering and management talent capable of thriving in global work environments.

Commenting on the progress of the placement drive, Professor Naresh V. Datla, Professor-in-Charge of the Office of Career Services (OCS) at IIT Delhi, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes. He noted that the institute has witnessed a robust and encouraging placement season this year, with students consistently performing well. He attributed their success to academic excellence, adaptability, and a strong readiness to tackle real-world industry challenges.
Adding to this, Professor Suresh Neelakantan, Co-Professor-in-Charge of OCS, mentioned that the institute is continuously expanding its collaboration with recruiters across various roles and domains. He expressed optimism that more companies are expected to join the placement process in the coming phases, further broadening the opportunities available to students.

The placement season at IIT Delhi is scheduled to continue until the end of May 2026. In the months ahead, additional recruiters are anticipated to visit the campus, which is expected to generate even more opportunities for students across different academic programs.
